Wonderful video. What I can say is, the first train, heading to Mandalay and train number is (3) UP as it leaves Yangon at 3 pm. Currently, due to COVID and coup, nearly all trains services are stopped in Myanmar.

Superb upload and footage. What a wonderful railway and country.. I just love the way all the children regard the railways as a giant fairground ride. The health and safety freaks over here would have kittens....

Nice video. Amazing to see nice working railways in Myanmar. What is the extent of network? Do you have a train service between Yangon and Mandalay?

Hello Ravi, sure they have. Visit www.seat61.com, he is saying that his 2015 timetable is ok. My last trip here was in 2012. I do not know if the tracks were corrected since. Anyways, it was sometimes very bumby at the times. Feel free to look at my about 10 new January 2015 videos in Sri Lanka. Really nice country, for the trains too. At that time there were almost no rocks holding the tracks and the stations are too low for the passengers to climb into the train but now there are rocks on the tracks and the stations are almost done reworking and these trains you see in this vid now there are none of it running today they are abandoned at statoins😢 But we got the new DEMU train it has a route it is from yangon to bago and from bago to yangon

One thing I have noticed is that the carriages and locos rock a lot indicating that the tracks are not properly leveled.
