Great video! Super Fli is probably one of the best looking RC planes made. And who hasn't but an Ugly Stick? Your story brings memories, I could not afford geared or two cylinder engines as a kid but I remember seeing them in the 80s.

thanks for making this video!!! I just bought the set of plans for the .60 MAN plans model of Super Fli and have the ideas to build the 92" version as well. Love this airplane design

You forgot to mention that the full size Super Fli was designed, built and flown by Phil Kraft. A pioneer in radio control equipment manufacturer. He also designed other wonderful radio control models still flown today after more than 60 years: Kwik Fli, Fire Fli, Dragon Fli Das Ugly Stik and several others.

Hi Eduardo yes you are correct about Phil Kraft. This is a portion of the interview and I did acknowledge that Phil was the designer of the model and the full scale aircraft. Phil was a good friend of mine. Thank you for acknowledging Phil’s accomplishments.

@@markradcliff7981 I had to acknowledge Phil's several achivements. He was a wonderful guy. I myself still have my original Kwik Fli Mk. III built in 1970 and in top condition. Just changed radio and engine.

It looks like the "K" on the tail and the "N5PK" N number pays homage to R/C industry giant Phil Kraft. Doesn't this model also have the Kraft .61 engine? I still use one and it is an excellent engine.

This is definitely a model of Phil Krafts homebuilt. This model however is too large for the Kraft .60 and uses a Webra 91. This model started out as a Bridi kit but was enlarged to fit the TOC rules.
