You are my absolute favourite artists and the consistency of your releases both fills my heart and makes it skip a beat 💓 For ‘What If I Wasn't Done Loving You?’ there are so many musical and lyrical gems I love: ✨“Maybe if I wear it on my face, someone else will let you know I’m not alright” (such a true sentiment that I don’t think I’ve heard in a song before) ✨“I’m drowning in you” (love the way this line is sung, with both hurt and a ‘matter-of-fact’ admission) ✨“What if you were the one?” (I mean… isn’t that the question? Impossible to know if you’ll ever know) Production throughout the track felt very nuanced. I thought the strings (or synth strings) that came in for the second verse sounded incredible! Each track you guys create and release is so distinctive yet there seems to be this FBM sonic fingerprint which ties them all together. And the video: I love the editing, also the earthy colour palette and bright sunlight coming in from the outside. To me that sort of seems to symbolise how these feelings or wonderings of ‘what if’ are with you all the time - even in broad daylight, not just when you are hidden away in the shadows. Loved the use of one location but the editing still made it feel dynamic. Because there is just so much good music around and coming out from so many artists, whenever you release another track it draws me all the way back into all of your other work. You guys have an amazing catalogue and I feel so thankful that somehow my listening ears crossed paths with your musical creations! Thank you for all of the art you make and share with us 🎼💌
