Exactly what I was looking for, mate! Saw a ton of videos about this thing and none of them really went over exactly how to balance. It was irritating! Great video and thanks for it!

Steadicam is best for natural by moving and best for short footage (10-20 sec) if shoot for long (30 sec over) footage your muscles will be tired, so gimbal was best choice and easy to use without operator skill

Great summary. For wedding ceremonies, or for wedding speeches, gimbal with a monopod is a pretty sweet option at times.

I think the flycam ist a little bit more complicated in balancing and more exhausting because you cannot grab with both arms. But I love the organic feeling and the direct control over this stabilization system. Its really oldschool, most people use gimbal today. Greets from Germany.

Yes, I like my gimbal much better now as well! But steadicams are still a great option if you don’t mind putting in the work!

wow. I also have Black magic 6k camera.. and it is impossible to balance it with heavy lenses on that Flycam. Cause it always fall forward... whatever i did. Did. Spotted that you've mounted the plate way closer to yourself. It went over the edge as i see. Such approach i haven't used yet.. Seems like it is time to take that gimbal from the closet! Thank you, mate. God bless ya

I have a Ronin RSC 2. I'm going back to Analog. Hate to be worrying about the battery and looking at the battery meter all the time. It's too much stress... Sending it back to Amazon. And you still have to do the Ninja walk. Also a Ronin gets stupid heavy after 20 min of shooting. I do not shoot weddings anymore. Just music videos and I get hired as a camera operator/ DP. I'm very familiar with these analog systems. Thanks for your Demo

How do u pull focus with that set up? great video
@powellfilmmaking Жыл бұрын
That's the biggest problem with this setup. I much prefer my RS2 rig that allows me to pull focus and stabilize at the same time. Check out my video for that on my channel if you are interested!

@powellfilmmaking2 ай бұрын
@@legrandamineofficial4184 Haha! I mean, it can help take the weight off your arms and yes it can add extra stability, but it just depends on your shooting style!

Do you still use this or have you transferred to the DJI? The flycam will have a more organic feel. I have the Moza Air 2 and Flycam and use both depending on situation but the flycam just looks better and not computerized lol

Is that the black magic 4k or 6K? Also, I'm using the 4k with a speed booster. It is definitely heavier on one side so it kind of wobbles off or veers off if you know what I mean.
@powellfilmmaking7 ай бұрын
It's the 6K! If you get the tilta cage you can always move where your manfrotto plate is mounted to compensate if you haven't already tried.

Hey, do you know if the Samsung T7 works with the latest bmpcc 6k firmware?
@powellfilmmaking2 жыл бұрын
All I know is that it didn't work with firmware 6.9, I have not tried it with the 7.3 firmware, and I mainly use silicon power CFAST cards anyway.
@pawesidoryk431 Жыл бұрын
I do not recommend Samsung T7. But I do recommend Samsung T7 Shield. „Shield” is there on the official BMPCC 6K list of supported media. And I just use Samsung T7 Shield with BMPCC 6K G2
