@@theclephane2914 agreed, but there's a lot of assumptions made here. One, everything is going to go perfectly; the rescue plane is going to make it, cell coverage will remain constant, and Hal won't injure himself (because master mechanics are removed from the vagaries of accidents, right?) Thanks for making videos that allow me to live my dreams of aviation vicariously through you (and the other Flying Cowboys)! My grandfather (Owen Black) used to take me up in his Cessna back when I was a teen and I reminisce about the good old days of flying with him frequently! An engineer friend of his (Neil Brutsche) designed an all metal ultralight called the "Freedom 28" and my grandfather built it for him. They took it to Oshkosh and won some awards with it 😎. Unfortunately they've both passed on. Grandpa passed while I was on my last deployment to the middle east this year and that's when I stumbled upon the videos that you and the Flying Cowboys have on KZbin. Long winded comment. .. but I just wanted to express gratitude for your content and the quality thereof! Thanks again for another great video (distraction 😎)!

Cory Robin, Wikipedia has some sketchy information on the Freedom 28. They're calling it the Freedom 40, apparently someone was confused but the photo they have is in fact the Freedom 28 with Neil Brutsche in the pilot seat. The photo was taken at bountiful's Skypark Airport. Funny fact: though my grandfather built the plane he would not fly it. .. it was a tail dragger and he wasn't comfortable without a nose wheel keeping the prop out of the ground 😎

@@flycory : In theory, I should get my brand new airplane in a week or two. It's already done and waiting, but the dealer received it the day before he left for Oshkosh ... plus two weeks of additional vacation with relatives nearby Oshkosh. So I got aced out of getting my airplane before Oshkosh by one or two days. What customer service, huh? :-( Seems I got even worse treatment than Hal !!!!! Anyway, if the Flying Cowboys let me tag along on their flights once I get my airplane, I volunteer to be the guy who gets to stay with whoever gets stuck on the ground. I guess I should always keep some extra water, food, snacks (and booze?) in the cargo area to be ready for such eventualities. The question remains, do the FlyingCowboys have room for a newbie to tag along on some of their trips? I got a really great cinema camera and gimbal that should let me take better videos than anything else we see (without all those awful compression artifacts that drive me crazy!!! ... but nobody else seems to notice). Respectfully, you don't know what to do? Someone stays with him. That's what you do. Being left behind is a very lonely feeling. I think it's time to unsubscribe. Sorry, but you just don't do that.

If you unsubscribe, aren’t you leaving Cory behind? You just don’t do that.

Landed on a farm with a running farm truck a 100 yards from the plane and had cell service. I think the man had it all under control.

I get what your saying..., but that's a little drastic... also, I personally know Hal pretty well, and I can guarantee you he would rather everyone fly on for a number of reasons. Hal works best when nobody gets in Hal's way!

He insisted we go. Capable help was enroute before we departed. Insert other hands into Hal’s process would have slowed him down. ... sucks

FYI, my son in law was killed on his electric skateboard about a year ago because he wasn't wearing his helmet. He was right in front of his own house. Wear a helmet, please.

So sorry for your loss man. Ugh.

@@flycory Thank you Cory, we can't afford to lose anybody and the Flying Cowboys top the list.
