Hey ETA, great video! I've had this controller for about a year now and use it exclusively for playing emulators via RetroArch on my Android phone. I just sync it up and start playing immediately in RetroArch, works flawlessly, don't have to switch around any X and D input modes in any third party app. Not sure what the problem is that you're having.
@fatefulcoma5 жыл бұрын
I have the weepad version 1 and it works pretty much the same way. Thankfully it is pretty portable and works great for emulation. When you connect using the app it remembers what mod you used last so I am always leaving it in classic mode as I too use it for emulations using Redream. I would like to upgrade as I would love to see if I can make my phone into a PC.

1:20 the C and Z button can be mapped to work as L3/R3 buttons :D. Mine always start in Classic Mode, but it requests me to "activate" the controller, which is basically plug-in the controller via cable with the controller off, and then turn the controller ON (your android device needs to have usb debug on). As soon as the controller turns on with the cable plugged in, a popup will show up requiring you to press OK to allow the controller to map the buttons with the touch screen. That's basically it. The only down side is this. Every time you reboot your device it will require you to redo this process of activation. If you don't reboot, you will only use the ON/OFF switch from the controller, it will pair automatically in classic mode pre-activated.

Hi ETA PRIME. I've been watching your channel since pokemon go. Learned a lot from you. I actually got 3 types of these Flydigi controllers. 1 is the original Flydigi Wee, one is the Wee 2, and another is Flydigi APEX. They all work great. I think you really have to show the audience about it's the biggest advantage, which is it works with your iPhone. With its Flashplay technology, you can use it to play literally every game in the app store. No jailbreak is needed. The only downside is that you have to map each game individually. I have been searching for a good controller for IOS and Flydigi sure takes my NO.1 spot. You might want to also explain that what this Flashplay does is, actually mimic your finger touch on the screen, which gives you a lot of customization. I don't know how they do that, but it is really a great way to play games. Especially the APEX controller, it is shaped like an XBOX controller with a clamp, so it will fit even more phones.

ETA PRIME, lemme ask you something. You've been stating the Saitake 7007 controller (the one you own from Beboncool, if I'm not mistaken) is your favorite. I owned one previously, which I bought from Amazon. The two things I didn't like for a $40-ish controller is that #1 shoulder buttons are digital and #2 the Right Stick placement is very low. It can be annoying to play a game that requires the right stick for hours, because I have huge hands and to reach it with my thumb was a dealbreaker for me over time. So I'm looking for something that's like the Saitake I mentioned, only with the sticks placed up or a little far from the edge of the controller. What do you recommend?

It looks almost identical to an ipega Red Knight 9087s. Form factor is nearly identical with some minor changes, button and thumbstick placement is identical bar the two extra rectangular buttons they've put in place of the Home button on the ipega. Heck even the placement of the screws on the back is identical. To be fair this is china so there's a pretty good chance they both come out of the same factory in Shenzhen. Got to say I do like the inclusion of a full USB port and the adapter on this. Not sure if or what I'd use it for but it's nice to have. Think I'll stick with my ipega for now cause there's no point in getting another gamepad that's almost identical in form and function. On the plus side for the Ipega, it does have L3 and R3 wheras the WEE 2 doesn't. But I will keep this in mind if my ipega ever breaks or stops working because the PSP/PS Vita form factor is definitely my preferred choice over the standard controller design of most of these gamepads.

@shatterpointgames4 жыл бұрын
The main difference between these controllers is the quality of the analog sticks. If you look at input data from them the Saitake 7007x heavily favors the four carnal directions and doesn't provide a true analog stick experience. Also you'll notice deadzones in the in between cardinal directions making some games, especially nintendo 64 and newer almost unplayable. A thing that might be useful for you to add to your reviews is an analog stick test or at least try out some games that heavily rely on analog stick input (basically any 3d platformer). You'll notice most of these controllers have major analog stick issues.
