Thank you for, once again, allowing us to go fishing with you. You fish a lot of the steams that I grew up on, and learned to fly fish. I live in TN now, but still make an annual trip up to fish my home waters. In July I was on Pine Creek up near Galeton, and the water is still very fishy. I had particular luck nymphing in the Watrous area near the bridge, and then also a few miles downstream from the picnic area on Rt 6 in Gaines down to where Long Run dumps in. You have done several Pine Creek videos, and seem have luck. Anyway, Thanks again. Your videos help pass the time while I'm waiting for the TVA to shut down the generators so that I can get near the river.

Hi ya Scott. oh boy , Rocky Mountains . I was out there in June (South Platte in Colorado) Boulder Creek in Boulder , water was cranking. Also was on Chincoteague , Va. surf 2wks. ago, again thewater was not fishable, howling mad from the NE. Had my Spey rod , really was looking forward to it. So anyway stay safe and tight lines, Tommy.@@pawoodsnwater7551

Excellent work. As a person that struggles fishing low and slow I was admiring how well you did. Seems like the browns like the faster water and late at night. The bows were everywhere. For a class A brown stream you caught a ton of bows, that was interesting. Great job as always. Look forward to the next one!

Tight Lining MD Thank you Mike! When the normal or usual conditions aren’t present, you gotta explore out of your comfort zone and also when you nothing to do all day but fish, HA! That section of Penns is still stocked besides all the wild brownies in there. Those stockies saved the day. Thanks for watching and again congrats on that beautiful brownie the other day 👍🏻

Good to know those guys were using corn, from what I can tell, you are fishing upstream of the bridge in Weikert, that section is now catch and release artificial lures only, no longer stocked water.

Éamonn Ó Broin Hello Eamonn! Thanks for your concern and I’m glad you brought that up. On my next or future videos, I’m gonna be highlighting a web site called “Keep ‘Em Wet”. It focuses on best practices for handling fish, some very simple principles to help keep the fish healthy and safe while netting , handling and releasing the fish. I’m guilty myself at times, so I also need a reminder to practice what a preach. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Great vid. what's your nymphing leader setup? No indicator?
@pawoodsnwater75515 жыл бұрын
Jr Clark Hi Jr! Thank you very much! I rarely use indicators anymore, very comfortable detecting strikes just watching my line. I use a 50” Cutthroat Furled Leader, off that I use 4-5ft of 4x fluoro, then I start my in-line tandem rig, most of the time all on 4x, this day I did use 5x off my Isonychia to my Hares Ear soft hackle. Please check out my “Nymphing Strategies” videos, parts 1-3 for my technique. Thanks for watching and commenting. Tight Lines!

Christopher Anderson Hi Chris! I was using an in-line tandem rig, a Globug with a split shot above it, then below that my Isonychia nymph, then my size 18 Hares Ear soft hackle, all on 4x, well no, the soft hackle was on 5x, flies about 14 inches apart. Yea man, get there and have fun! Thanks for watching and commenting.

Hi Scott, In some of ur vids it looks like you wear polarized glasses that fit over ur prescription glasses. Do you like them? Do they perform well for you? What brand are they? Thanks, Paul Ashland, MA
@pawoodsnwater75515 жыл бұрын
Paul Kenney Hi Paul! Thanks for your question. I wear Cacoons, they’re my third pair, I’ve loved all of them, but this last blue pair, the lenses are great but I hate the frames. This pair I ordered off the Cacoons website according to how they tell you to measure, they kind of fit too perfect, I now know I like them slightly bigger than my real glasses, more comfortable. I always carry two pair, a yellow lenses for cloudy or low light conditions and Amber for full on sun. Good luck. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Love the vid! What was your rod/reel nymphing setup?
@pawoodsnwater75515 жыл бұрын
Gillum 14 Thank you! I was using my usual all around setup for nymphing and possible top water action , my 10ft/4wt, was using 4x tippet for the Globug and the Isonychia then down to 5x to the Hares Ear soft hackle. Had one #4 split shot about 7” above the Globug. Hope that helps, good luck!

@@pawoodsnwater7551 I was really hoping you'd pull a 17 or 18 inch wild brown out of that pool. You know there's gotta be a few large wild browns sitting in there, amongst all those stockies. I figured once the stockies started feeding, that the wild browns would get interested and start hitting your flies. Enjoyed the video. Tight Lines.
