FlyFly ASK 21 RC Glider Maiden Flight

Maidened my ASK-21 from FlyFly a couple of weeks ago on a windy Sunday morning.
Performs surprisingly well in thermals and has no bad habits with gentle stall characteristics and wide speed envelope.
CG is at 53mm from leading edge.
To make sure that the good looking gliders from FlyFly fly properly and last, some more or less extensive mods are necessary depending on the model. This are not gliders for beginners.

Can you please advise how the wings are fitted and if they can be easily removed/mounted for transportation in a car?

Hi, thanks for watching! The ARF kit comes with wing bolts to keep the wings in place but I replaced them with Topmodel quick wing connectors. I also installed Emcotec servo connectors. This way wings are just plugged on and off and everything is connected and ready to go. I secure it with a piece of clear tape, justin case. But if you go with the bolts they are also easely accessible. Make sure to add Epoxy to all bulkheads, battery tray, and wheel mount.

what is that voice ? it give telemetry of the speed thermal ?

Hi, thanks for watching! what you hear is from the transmitter. Through the telemetry sensors I get all sort of information like battery status, high amperage, hight, vertical speed, covered distance through GPS sensor, airspeed, time in the air and so on. The information is also used to retract and lower landing wheel etc.
