Hey fly guy, got a question. Does powered paragliding give you trouble with motion sickness? I have some mild motion sickness and I am wondering if ppg is a good idea or if it's not too bad as long as you take breaks. I'm a scuba diver, so I can go down for like 45 minutes at a time, but I am curious as PPG is something I would love to do. Love your stuff.

Yes, it does for me but if I take motion sickness tablets about an hour before hand I have no issues when I fly. If I forget and I am not flying in super ideal conditions I make it about 10-15 mins before needing to land so I don't get sick. I highly recommend you get into paramotoring if you have the interest. I am so happy I get to fly. My wife has also enjoys flying as well. You won't regret it.

Each person is different and affected differently. I would suggest getting out for an Intro tandem flight and test the 'waters'! I have only had one person who suffered from motion sickness so far and we had to turn around and land about 5 mins into the flight. Good luck!

If you fly in calm air and make gentle turns, its nice. It's like just sitting and enjoying the view. The rocking from turbulence and making steep turns causing the glider to dive a little can get a little sicking after a while.

@@SeanAllocca Thank you very much and I'm so sorry for the late reply. As I mentioned I'm a scuba diver, so I'm not an instant-death switch when it comes to sickness. It's just I don't have much stamina and I need to pace myself out on my own terms or like you said, pop some anti-sickness tablets before doing something like that all day. Thank you for the advice, I'm confident I can be a good, stable, gentle pilot on my own terms with my motion sickness.

All these questions and many more are answered during your training. In short....mostly everywhere except over built up areas or within 5NM of an airport with a control tower.
