Just found out that Aha has filed for bankruptcy- they were scheduled to start flying out of BOI as of next week, but filed for chapter 11 instead. Not too surprising after watching your video and review of the flight (which I thoroughly enjoy- your videos are fantastic)

From another former long time ExpressJet pilot, thank you for making and posting this video. It was hard to watch what we assumed to be our last ExpressJet flight just over a year ago. I really appreciate being able to experience the start of this next venture through your video. Wishing all the best to those who are choosing to stay on and keep the ship afloat. I truly hope it does work out for everyone involved.

It would be interesting to learn what are the height contrasting cultural idiosyncracies and styles of living you are going through in your new life. Furthermore, let us know how your musical career plans are progressing.

Watching the CEO doing his little speech at the inaugural, you can see by his body language that he already knows this venture is doomed to failure. He might as well be lighting money on fire at this point. ExpressJet at one time had 275 ERJ145’s and the best they could find was a clapped out old Trans States bird from the desert? They couldn’t get ahold of a single one of their former legacy planes that they at least knew the maintenance history on? Anyway, I would wish them luck, but I’m not convinced they will be around more than a few months. Before anyone skewers me as being a hater, far from it. I was a pilot with the original Continental Express when the planes were brand new and the only thing ExpressJet on the Airplanes was the branding on the engines. Good luck to any former colleagues that might still be there after all these years, I hope you are able to find a niche that works, but I’m not convinced this business model will be the right one.
@macart54292 жыл бұрын
I could tell too. The fact they wanted to charge him $30 for a carry on is kinda of a ripoff and using a “old” ExpressJet regional jet instead of the new airlines livery?

I wonder if ExpressJet might consider getting some bigger metal in the near future? Reminds me of a Reno Air. Would love to see them grab some A220's in the future. Will never forget before boarding our Delta flight, I hit a $4,000 jackpot at RNO! It was epic!! As for the low turnout? Pasco? Yeah, it's definitely a route that will take some time to develop. I bet if they start PAE or SEA, those flights will do pretty good. RNO to PSP will be a hit. And last but not least, LAS and PHX will do very good too. Gotta get me some shirts so I can help promote the airline! Praying this airline is successful!

I’m not sure if I remember hearing that this would be a new airline, but I might’ve actually. And I’ve been to the Reno airport 11 years ago. That’s the last time I flew on Southwest Airlines when I did a round trip between Chicago Midway and there. And it’s the last time I flew at that Chicago airport. I’ve been going there lately only on trains and buses since I don’t live too far from there at all. I want to check out downtown Reno someday.

So many small airlines with a very condensed market. They say, startups are likely to fail within the first 18 months. And as already happened, they failed.

It's no bad they couldn't have used the aha branded jet, it would have been better advertising to other people at both airports to get to know the real operating name of the airline. A first flight RNO-PSC wouldn't have generated a lot of local traffic I'm thinking. A better first flight routing may have had the aircraft fuller.

I'm really bummed about this airline. I feel like it's something I could make good use of, but I was told if i rebooked a flight it would only be a $25 fee and when I tried to rebook because of a last minute trip and my original flight went from $118 (booked) tried to change dates a couple days after. I ended up getting charged $203, even though the current flight cost is $158. Their customer service was absolutely rude and now my flight i arranged for a funeral is costing me way more than I have. It's very sad and unfortunate they are ripping off locals. But I guess they get money somehow
