On my to do list tomorrow morning, Monday Nz time, is go to butcher and get some tripe. I'm a 1946 model, and I can remember having tripe and onion, fried sheep brains, sheep and also beef tongue, oxtail, lambs fry and bacon, coffee in 1957/8. Thank you for the upload Trev. Nice job. Take care mate.
@trev.lee.adventure2 ай бұрын
I would draw the line at sheeps brains to be honest 😬
@bryanbadger68412 ай бұрын
@trev.lee.adventure C'mon mate. You've obviously got a sense of adventure: put it to use here. My suggestion would be to do the brains in a pan of garlic butter, throw in a smidgen of white pepper, salt to taste, and away you go. Btw, Google "Mountain Oysters." Too. Not sure whether your local butcher would know what they are. Bit of an adventure for you. Thanks again for the upload. Atb from down here.

Well if I was to do it again I would use more flower. Get the pan smoking hot with the oil spitting and chuck it in. It would be cooked very quickly and have crunchy edges. More heat next time 😉

Hiya Trev good to see you out and about again! Tripe and onions, liver bacon and onions both are good meals to consume, whilst staying with my Gran and Grandad whilst Mom and dad went to work in the 1950s both meals were regularly on the menu very tasty and good for you. Stay safe see you on the next one.👍👍👍👍👍

Hey Trev I did make a suggestion in one of my past comments in relation to your 10000 feet video. I suggested something about testing a spot landings (engine out or idle) from different heights and distances. Something I find fun to practice and probably good thing to know just in case it happens for real. Just saying

Hi Trev, I absolutely love ❤ haggis and black pudding, and have tried many things on my travels (including frogs legs when we were in France in 2023), but tripe has always been a step too far for me… Grandparents used to eat it and the look of it and smell put me right off. I must say however that in your small pan it looked like stir-fried chicken 😊

Hi Trev, great episode. I've never tried tripe before. I'm not sure if I will. If I may make a suggestion, I would be nice if you could fix your camera to a static position that's just above your head so we can still see your controls and the view. I hope we see you again soon. Take care 🤝

Great video, sir. Never eaten tripe either. Interested in the sound recording because some more ambient background sound when you are cooking/on the ground would be good…there are big silences and then you do some more commentary. Not a criticism cos I am a follower. Great channel etc.
