Well, "supersonic" = the speed of sound which is roughly 343 meters per second. Also called Mach 1. While Mach 2 would be twice the speed of sound. And "subsonic" (less than Mach 1) would be slower than the speed of sound. Most jets today are supersonic, except for cargo aircraft and airliners. "Afterburner" is basically a turbo mode... it just injects a whole lot more fuel into the engines & gives way more thrust. This is only possible in short bursts though, and drains the fuel in a few minutes. You didn't ask but i may tell you too: "Supercruise" is the ability to fly supersonic WITHOUT the use of afterburners. Only a few jets can archieve this though.

If you're going to attack someone for making videos longer for ad revenue, try the youtubers who makes 2 hour long livestreams of mods and throw 30,000 mid roll ads in them. Not a guy like me who uploads a few videos every few months. My god, the sonic boom part made me cringe cause whoever made the mod clearly has no idea how sonic booms/super sonic speed works. Realistically, the cone would be constant if you were going over the sound barrier, and the cockpit would be silent, as you would be outrunning the engine's sound, right? If they were trying to achieve realism (realisticness isn't a word), if the camera was behind the jet, there would be the constant roar, or if it were in front of the plane, or if you were in first person, it would only be the sound of wind.

The map isn’t very large. To get to one end of the map to the other, takes only a few minutes on a plane, which is why fast planes would be unnecessary

DriftKingz actually the current version of the Harrier, the AV-8B only reaches a max speed of 662 mph. I hate the hydra in game because it's pretty much a perfect representation of a Harrier, except of course for the afterburner engine. Harrier are subsonic, not supersonic.
