I know it sounds so bizarre to say, but it feels like I’ve missed you guys since you moved to the US. So hearing you say you’re feeling like you want to move back is somewhat comforting from a viewer’s pov as you’ll be back home and back with family, but I think you will know in your heart when is right for you to move back. There is nothing wrong with feeling that it’s OTT; it isn’t. Whether you move back tomorrow or in 10 years, you’ll know when it’s right for your family and that decision is yours and no one else’s to judge or comment on. Hope you’re having fun whilst you’re back anyway! ❤️

From a different perspective, I live in Texas and feel even closer to her than before. Seeing her visiting all the places I've been, enjoying all of things I've too enjoyed, and knowing she's literally right up the road from me makes it feel like she's my Texas bestie lol. Elle, you're definitely living the dream and I'm so proud of you 🥰😍

I don't get all the people who are saying they see that she's happier in the UK and she's not as happy in the US. I really don't see her seeming unhappy in the US visibly on the vlogs. Feeling emotional about going home to family (especially whrn pregnant) doesn't mean that someone is unhappy in their general life. She's said it a million times. 6 months is a typical time frame for things like culture shock to set in. It can be a bumpy time but it can pass. No matter what, Elle and Connor you were/are right to go after your dreams!!! Another great vlog Elle 😊

Just going to be really blunt. I did the same as you, moved from England to the US 9 years ago. Honestly have never got over the homesickness and am trying to move back, which is also a pain to do. You always think the grass is greener and don't realise how good you've had it until you move away.

Everyone’s different though! It depends what lifestyle you want to live. I think a lot of people feel home sick that move to a different country & never get over that but a lot still know there better where they’ve moved too even though they miss home. There’s pros & cons everywhere just as much as good & bad people everywhere! ♥️

Regardless of how long you stay out there, you gave your children an experience of a lifetime so be proud of that 🫶🏼 & if you’d have never moved, you’d have always wondered what if 🤍

UK girl in the US....I also moved over this year!! I found coming home from my first UK visit really difficult. I wasn't going to the US for a big adventure anymore. Our new life in the US had settled. I had a taste of my UK home, I knew what i missed and i KNEW EVERYTHING THAT i was walking away from....again. It hit so hard that time. My life in America is great, but family can not be replaced for us here. I wish I could have all the good parts of America, with everything i love from the UK at the same time, as one. Going back to the UK is surreal. Landing, seeing everything, seeing everyone, it is like nothing has changed. But yet, everything has changed. Peoples life has moved on, and you're not there to see it, you're not there to share the memories. Sending all the love for your return, Elle!

@@Lannahkaye However given what she’s been through the last few years, a long break from KZbin, losing her mum etc I would think she would feel happier away from it all and it’s something she needed to get out of her system as she’s always wanted to do it. Realistically it takes a few years of living somewhere before you truly know. It’s all time.

You have to ask yourself what was the reason you moved. Second you need to realize that your family is with you. We love out extended friends and family but your husband and your kids are with you.. that is your family. It may sound harsh but it’s the truth. You have to give this experience a chance. That is life, change is hard but you are not alone ❤

I think this all depends on what you’re leaving behind. I have a very small family and the family I have is quite toxic, I haven’t been back to the UK in 14 years and all I’ve missed is friends. The UK never felt like home and to me, that seems like the difference. It’s OK to move back, the UK isn’t going anywhere, neither is the US, go where your heart feels at home xx

I can completely relate. We moved to NZ from the UK with our dog and moved back during Covid. We didn’t feel we were down with NZ so have come back. 2 years in and we’ve realised home with where our friends and family are and as much as we love it here it never feels fully like home. Nobody ever talks about the feeling when you visit friends and family once you live overseas and the I don’t know when I’ll see you again goodbye. I trust you’ll make the right decision even if that changes multiple times over the months/years. Xx

Family is so important and I felt so guilty that the grandparents were missing out on the children growing up. Elle I understand how you feel about coming home. My Parents immigrated from England to Canada and they never lost the feeling that England was home. I think going to the USA looks lovely and glamorous and exciting for a few years but you will find that you may want to return to family, the education system for your children and giving them the most important gift in life and it is your roots. I think 3 years will not give you a true picture of life in Texas or California. The one great thing is the weather and we know England has so much rain. Now as an adult having lost my parents when I go to England and get off the plane and visit I feel my parents in every fibre of my being. I see their roots, the people, the food and all the traditions and I feel a sense of peace. I hope you continue your journey and make your final decision before the children enter the school system. Good luck and enjoy the US

I don’t understand how people expect you to move to a completely different country and not have second thoughts or get homesick. You will experience both of those things over and over until it suddenly stops. It is as huge adjustment. This is just my opinion from the videos you have done in England and then so far in America. You look like you are going to explode with happiness in the US vlogs. You and Connor look like you have gotten so close and your relationship looks so strong, I didn’t get that feeling in your UK vlogs (again my opinion not a fact). I moved to Australia from the UK many years ago. I was so homesick I went back to England twice, once for 6 months and the second for 3 months. I can remember sitting at Heathrow Airport saying to my son, we are going home. I stayed here and my entire family went back to the UK. Bit by bit they all came back and settled here in Australia 🇦🇺. England is a beautiful country there’s no doubt about it but can it offer you the lifestyle you want? As I’ve said before I can see you, Connor, the boys and your new baby living close to the beach. You are all in your element there.

First of all - congratulations to your friend getting married! And Elle you are really glowing🥰 Please don’t be to hard on yourself - you’ve moved from the UK to America. That’s a big change in itself. Moving away will never be easy especially from family. Sometimes you feel like you miss so much. But remember you can always go home if you decide to do so. You took the chance to move to America and honestly it looks incredible on you guys. The memories and the opportunities you can put yourself forward for! I understand what you mean about the countryside also, I’m home visiting family currently and I leave in a few days and although is home, you can make a home anywhere. But I do know if the time comes and I want to go home that’s something I’ll think about then! Be patient with yourself and enjoy every second of what a new day brings!💛🫶🏼

Took me 2/3 years to get used to being an expat, it is quite common to miss home for the first few years and go through uos and downs. Pregnant or not. You will feel like your home country, friends and family are going through life without you. Almost like you're missing out but slowly you will build your community, get used to it. Just make sure you video vall people often and make plans for visits.

As a former expat who moved from NY to the UK for 4 years, from my experience you need to give it at least 2 years before determining whether you can see yourself staying more long term in another country or not. It’s an extremely hard adjustment and I believe most people will always believe their home country to be “home.”I mean, everyone sounds like you and you have all the home comforts like family, friends etc. it’s really such an individual decision. Personally, I HATED the UK my first year, but eventually grew to love many aspects of my life there. I had my twin boys there away from all my family in the midst of Covid. And I survived! I was happy. But, I did eventually want to move back. It’s not for the faint hearted to move away from home, but it’s absolutely doable for loads of people!

Have you and Connor thought about moving back to the UK but maybe buying somewhere smaller in your favourite place in the US but having that as a home from home place to visit a few times a year and Airbnb it out when your not there, could be an idea to give you the best of both worlds!💕 xxx

Mine did as well. Moved to Canada when they were newly married and never stopped missing home. Moved back to England 50 years later! It was awful for us who were born and raised in Canada to see them go.

I moved to Virginia from the UK almost 7 years ago and I still feel the same about snacks. In fact, I only ever eat chocolate imported from England. Expensive but worth it.

My son emigrated to the other side of the world 11 years ago with his pregnant wife so our two youngest grandchildren were born over there. He still feels homesick and would love to come back but realises the children have a much better life there than they would over here. I think it's people rather than places you miss when you leave but the life you are building in the US will open so many doors for you all and the world is a much smaller place these days with travel so much easier than it used to be. Being pregnant you are bound to be hyper emotional at the moment so just enjoy your time back in the UK (although you're probably back home by now!) and look forward to your new future as a family of 5 🙂

I know its not the same, but we moved 200 miles away last year from everything I ever known, it was HARD every time people visited or we visited them I would SOB and regret my decision for days after but it does get easier I promise! The times that we do spend with our loved ones is so much more special and you don't take them for granted

Moving away for the first 12 months will always be difficult, you will have many ups and downs, especially mixed in with pregnancy hormones. Seeing family will always make you feel sad when you have to say goodbye, that’s a normal emotion. Give things time, have your little girl in the US, then give it another six months.

You only get one chance at life, you do what you and Connor are happy with. I understand the home sickness but family have managed to come and see you. Boys will thrive in USA far more than uk but only you and Connor can make that decision don’t do anything in haste you may feel different once you get back and have your little girl may God guide you as you decide love and hugs, enjoy catching up with family and enjoy the wedding xxxx

This is probably one of the smartest moves you have made you can't get clarity until you separate yourself from everyday life. Another really big thing to ponder is would you like to have your daughter to have dual citizenship if you give birth in the United States she'll be able to have that. It's honestly a really wonderful gift to be able to give to your child 1 day when they get older letting them know you can totally go back to the United States of America to go to school to go to college discover life. Your gonna do great Ellie!!

I honestly can’t see Elle and con moving back to uk yet. They have only started their life in U.S and I feel they have more to adventure yet out there. Being pregnant is making her natural emotions feel 10x deeper but pregnancy is temporary. No matter what they decide we will be here to follow but they have already said they have plans for a new brand in U.S and they want to live in other states to experience life elsewhere. I say follow your dreams and soak in the opportunities and experiences if you are able to afford them. ❤❤❤
