Flying China Airlines from Sydney to London

We fly to London on China Airlines just before Christmas. Join us for the unusual route to our home country from Sydney.
Fly CI52 ( Sydney to Taipei) and CI81 (Taipei to London).

Not long, can’t remember exact time but the airport was actually really nice. You will find it really easy to get around.

We’re doing this trip with China Airlines later this year (LHR>SYD) and then reverse 2 weeks later. Question (if you don’t mind answering as can’t seem to find the answer) do we need to collect our bags and check them back in at Taipei? Or are they transferred for us? Thanks 🥳🥳

Hi @cmagz9225, we can’t remember the exact amount but was under $1800 AUD for the return. We only booked it a couple of weeks before flying as was a surprise trip and rather spontaneous. We have seen quite a few new routes recently going from Sydney to London through Asia and some really good prices. Check out going via Shanghai as that was super low when we last looked around $500 AUD one way!! Safe travels!

Wow what a large plane. I love the A350. Did you check in a bag or instead check in a carry-on for free at the check-in counter. How was the customer service and seat comfort. Food looks delicious.

We checked in our bags. Customer service was great and the food was excellent. We think they are an underrated airline

If you are visiting the UK for leisure and less than 6 months you shouldn’t need anything. Always good to check the smartraveller website to be safe. Have a good trip!!
