We share a similar childhood. I also knew I was born to travel. As a kid, my brother and my father would take me to the airport to plane-watching. I could name the airline that just took off based on the livery. My house wasn't very far from the airport. I still love traveling, and it's still my passion. But I didn't know anything about points. In my homecountry, points didn't exist then. But now that I found your blog last year, I know a lot about points and miles. I applied for freedom and sapphire last year and my miles now are enough to get me to Japan on Korean air round trip from east coast. You inspire me. Thank you, TPG.

+Brian Kelly I've been in both. But Japan stole my heart. The entertainment, the culture, the people, the temples, the FOOD! The unique restaurants. Everything I ate was DELICIOUS! I brought a bunch of snacks home and ramen noodles. The hospitality was perfect.

WOW, this is their longest flight and they don't even give you pajamas. I would love a pair of Delta one pajamas. Surprising that they give them out on the China & HKG flights but not to JNB.

Really enjoyed this Brian. I hope someday my climb up the air France flying blue ladder will lead to something like this. Although I do tend to trade loyalty for no frills airlines such as Ryanair & easyjet for a good deal.

+Matthew Tasker Smart move- cash is king. In the US the discount carriers are rarely that much cheaper, so it doesn't make sense to fly discount, but in Europe and Asia the spread is much bigger

So instead of American, delta, united and so on, maybe a guide to maximising programs of European airlines such as BA Air France, Lufthansa and so on ? I'd enjoy reading that. Plus I've never signed up for a credit card and it's hard to see which EU ones are worth it

+Brian Kelly That has to be for a one way ticket. I've looked up flights for round trip flights from Nashville to Paris and it was 250,000+ not even close to 90k. Misleading title, I like the idea though.

So, how do you get a flight like that for 90,000 miles? I have about 100,000 miles and can't find any international business class flights (mainly looking in Europe) for less than 125,000. I guess I need to keep my eyes peeled?

It would be useful to know exactly how you got the miles to do each of your trips. After all there are so many credit cards you can apply to/have before your credit score begins to plummet. And once you ran out of sign-on bonuses I wonder how do you keep traveling business class? Seems to me like that would be something worth addressing in your videos and blog. Thanks.
