I actually quite like your description of the opposition. Before and after the game, a nice genuine bunch of guys to talk to and be around. During the game it's a war on the pitch. Final whistle, you shake hands, call it even and laugh and joke before you head home. It does boil over but as long as you have a mutual respect of, it's just giving it 100% in the match, you can laugh it off and go about your lives happy. More games need to feel like this.
