A funny thought: A card with this effect: "If you would Special Summon a monster from GY using the effect of "Dark Flattop", you may add that effect's target to your hand before Special Summoning it." It's a convoluted way to get around the issues with Dark Flattop, inspired by the mental gymnastics that more recent Z-ARC support gets around its similar issues with "ignoring Summoning conditions" not ignoring lack of proper first Summon.

Tribute this card; special summon Flying Fortress SKY FIRE from your hand or deck. You can banish this card from your graveyard except the turn it was sent there; special summon Dark Flattop from your extra deck (this is treated as a synchro summon). You can only special summon machine monsters the turn you activate either of these effects, and you can only activate each effect of cards with this name once per turn." It would solve all the awkwardness with the card, make it easy to summon in a machine deck, but still not busted since it's so easy to out.

I really wish the Reactor cards got retrained to either removed the once per turn or add negation to their effects. They'd work so much better as specialized "tax" cards (summon tax, spell tax and trap tax). There's so many cool mini archetypes that did nothing due to old school YGO bad card design, Koa'ki Meiru is still one of my favorites (half the archetype only has a single print).

Yes Doom Shaman Yubel/Terror Control is... technically an Edison deck..... I played this over 10 years ago at my locals regularly. I regret nothing, this is my only edison deck I and never get to use because no one wants to play edison.

@@nonifuji1566 There's a creator by the name I think 38YubelMaster that has a list very very similar to mine. Though I think he stopped edison stuff around when the modern Yubel support got announced. The deck uses Doom Shaman to summon Yubel, end phase Yubel tributes Doom Shaman which then destroys Yubel summoning Terror and then having Terror board wipe, Terror is then used to force the game into a stall where you use a Spirit monster White Rabbit that can attack directly to slowly win. Dark Tinker is the main tuner for the deck, many people I see online use Plaguespreader, and while you can use both, Doom Shaman can reuse Tinker a bunch of times while Plaguespreader is normally used like 1-2 times. Doom Shaman is a gemini so you can use Silent Doom and Swing of Memories to summon him out easily, basically 2 playsets of monster reborn just for him. Personally I run 2 Doom Shamans instead of 1, Imperial Iron Wall is there both as counter play and protection from your pieces being banished so you don't have to play multiple copies of Yubel or Terror, but the stray Bottomless hitting Shaman can just kill 6 cards in your deck. Personally I hope the deck can evolve to use Doom Shaman's synchro summoning potential as it's Win Con, and swapping between it and Terror Control. Attacking each turn with White Rabbit for like 700 or something is a very slow win con. In middle school I also used Savage Colosseum to attempt to pressure people to attack Yubel, didn't work, but did work as another layer to Terror Control. I don't think it's great, but thought I'd mention it.
