I have learned so much from your videos. I love your humor, your way of teachins and for the ability to make even me feel like I can do these quilting techniques. While recouping from knee replacement surgery I watch your videos over and over. And I enjoy your sharing your family with all of us. I feel like you are an old friend . I don’t enjoy quilting but at the moment I’m quilting a lot of rectangles in different patterns so I don’t get bored. The things we do for our grandchildren! Yours will be awesome as usual

Getting rather good at quilting circles after that big circle quilt you just did. I dont think my feed dogs go down but I'll read the manual and see for sure. Nice quilting and your quilting is really freehand. you make it seem doable in our homes. You are real like all of us. That's why I watch all your videos. That and your entertaining of course. Lol

Gotta love my circles!! If your feed dogs DO NOT go down, (which they most probably do), then what you can do is COVER them. You can use a nice flat business card or something like that and tape it down well to the bed of your machine. Just so they are not engaging your fabric is all that is needed. Do animals run in the same direction in the wild...nah. It’s all good. The backing fabric is gorgeous. The Midnight Quilter, Angela, just zooms through free-motion quilting, never spills her wine...amazing. lol Circles on dotted fabric looks great, will try this when I get settled in a new home, always great tips Jean.

@@Wannaloom My JUKI mini came with two free motion quilting feet, but the one I use IS NOT A HOPPING foot. It remains stationary ~ and I'm glad, I've used hopping feet and they are a pain (for me) and very disconcerting!

Gold Damask good, Jean. These big shapes are not necessarily for the beginner. Yes, they are quick to put togeather but any seaming that is slightly off really shows. Well, that was my experience, last year, when I did really big shapes. Circles quilting on dotted fabric is fab and reminds me of a fabric, maybe upholstery or high end bag with gold chain. Love it

Oh I did when I was in the center of the quilt. Its just on the edges I didn't and will just cut all the threads away at the end, the ones on the edge. Thank you Cindy:)

I bought the pattern & excited. I noticed you don't use a lot of pins to pin your quilt. Maybe I over pin. When I do FM it seems like I have to stop every few seconds to take a pin or two out. What or how many do you recommend? Thanks in advance & love yr channel!

I use large pins and place them every 6 - 7 inches apart. I pin baste on my table (I've never pinned on the floor....I don't get that..) and let the weight of the backing, batting and top hang down the sides, starting from the center and pin out. I rarely, and I mean rarely, ever get a tuck or a pleat in the backing this way. Hope this helps:) (I got large 2" safety pins from Amazon...I got hundreds of them)

I just found you and I’m so happy!! I have the exact same machine as yours and quilt king sized quilts on it. I live by myself on social security, so I have a very limited budget. jean your quilt is beautiful you are an awesome teacher and quilter. I'm going to order some of those patterns from VillaRosa. could you show us 1 Day how to add your batting to quilt back and front. I have the hardest time w this on my floor. It usually a full size quilt. Please Jean.
