Most in the east were like that preCovid. When I was Kuwait people would go to the airport and have coffee or shopping like the mall. Also the main phone branches are in the airport so would have to go there just get a number change or fix a serious issue with your line.

Built by foreigners, designed by foreigners !!! The story of these Arabian Peninsula Oil Cameldoms. In total contrast the Levant countries are highly educated and progressive. And they are not arrogant like these Camel King oildoms. Levant and North African Arab nations had universities when Europe lived in caves. Arabian Peninsula was essentially a nest of uneducated, uncivilized bandits and pirates living in holes in the desert. They got lucky with pil. Oil got them money but money cannot buy class. And gold taps in a bathroom is an apt illustration of crass and no class. You will never find this cheapness in Iraq, Syria or any other Levant or North African Arab country

My family and i are GF FREQUENT FLYER MEMBERS who used to flyback to my home country Philippines atleast 2 to 3x in a year. Due to the pandemic we didn't get a chance to take our regular holidays. Watching this video makes me even more excited to travel again. I hope the pandemic will end verysoon so everyone can go back to a normal life. The new airport is something that we Bahrainis are proud of. BRAVO!!!

Just missed the opening of this new terminal. After more than 11 years working and being my home I went back to the Philippines last Sept 2020. I should have been a part of the pre opening trials last Feb 2020 but due to the pandemic i missed that opportunity. 😊 Thanks Sam for featuring this new and modern airport. 🙏🏼

I was here just yesterday and I absolutely love the new terminal. Many fond memories of the old terminal when I was younger in the 90s. Fantastic job and I was very comfortable during my 10 hour stopover.

I have flown gulf air via Bahrain a few times and i love the new terminal. Very modern and relaxing, just what travellers need. Old one was small and a little tired. Go Bahrain and gulf air!

Pleased that they have opened this new terminal I flew with Gulf air at the end of 2019 and was very impressed with the flight to Bahrain from Heathrow and Bahrain to Dubai The airport was the downside of my journey but I could see the new one getting built So I could see Bahrain wanted to improve the customer experience. Most of these massive infrastructure projects have probably been in the works for more then 10 years. Construction probably was well underway before COVID-19. It’s usually less expensive to just finish a project then to stop wait a couple years and then finish the project.

I visited the portuguese fort in Tarout island, just off the Qatif coast in Saudi Arabia and not far from Bahrain. The fort is huge, beautiful and well preserved. Its a tourism attraction in the Eastern province of Saudi Arabia

Do NOT wear a mask, they do not stop any viral particles, they act as a petri dish, you are breathing back in your own germs and bacteria into your lungs, not to mention 100 times more carbon dioxide and much lowered oxygen levels.
