3 montha ago I went with lufthansa back from Hong Kong to Frankfurt. I had the luck that no one sits in the middle row besides me. It was a 3 4 3 configuration. Another pessenger wants to sit there, but the stewardess asked her to go back to her sits. So, as the sole passenger in the row, I lay the entire row of 4 sits to sleep. It was a good flight back

I had a very similar experience, but with a different airline, and that was Cathay Pacific, and although I was chatting with someone on WhatsApp, they resolved my issues so swiftly and diligently with additional perks and their on duty manager in London personally came to help me with my situation.

The Virgin Atlantic/Air New Zealand seat design is 20 years old. It was groundbreaking at the time as it was the first business class to offer direct aisle to all seats and a proper mattress. Obviously extremely weak product now and they both need to retrofit these aircraft with a newer product. I know Virgin Atlantic is in current design to replace them with another updated version of their A350 suite.

The new business class seats are smaller, has matchbox place to put foot in. These seats are not comfy, restrictive in terms of space around shoulders. I just flew on air france a350 and 777-300 , they are the worse business class seats. Old business class seats in turkish with 2-3-2 config has better leg room.

You missed one Airline out -> British Airways. They also have refurbished their Club World into 4 seats abreast only: X - XX - X, which is now very comfortable and in my opinion one of the best business class seats.

Why no comment on not possible to sleep on full seat because the width?

Thai Airways business class seats are old and shabby. But the service is dreadful as Thai are trying to cut services to save money. Given that I paid around $3,000, I wonder where all the money went.

Just watched this as we are flying London to Dubai in April in economy. I think it may be busier than your flight 😂 My wife and I did manage to get a whole row of seats each when we flew back from Vegas on Virgin around 18 years ago though , and yes it was great being able to lie down in Economy 😊

Ya I’ve never flown and would flat out ruin the flight for everyone and demand I be let off if me and my daughters first flight had this setup. I flew in and out of Tokyo on a JAL dreamliner ....their economy class was better than some airlines business class..absolutely amazing.

well here is the thing they don't tell you (not applicable to the stupid usa for obvious reason) ... most of the world do not overbook flights so an ID90 or even 100% is useless compared to a confirmed seat. Remember what is the most valuable item here, your time !

I’ve only flown American once. Jacksonville NC to Seattle with a layover in charlotte. Not really any complaints from me but I’m pretty chill and as long as I get home safe I’m happy. They got me on an earlier flight from Jacksonville to charlotte at the last minute per my request since I was very early to the airport. My layover in charlotte was 5 hours and they failed to tell me my bag was sent on another flight to Seattle than the one I was on. No big deal but it took me awhile to figure it out after standing at the baggage claim in sea tac. But with trying to figure out where my bag was it made me miss the 10pm closing time for maintenance of the crucial bridge Ihad to cross to get home. So a 2 and a half hour drive turned into 5 hours.
