In that Booty level, my interpretation of the creator’s vision was that each pipe was a different aspect of digestion... goomba poop, fiery heartburn, bouncy gas, etc. Hence all the pig farts.

With the music level, I would say you _can_ trust the rhythm. Because of fundamentally how this music level is designed in MM. Mario rides the skull platform, which goes at a certain speed of blocks/sec. So, the tempo of the song (how fast it plays) is exactly governed by the speed of the platform Mario rides. The positions of those question blocks also are going past at the same blocks/sec as the moments of the song, because their passage is also exactly governed by that platform. So, as long as the creator just figured out the correct positional offset for those blocks, it'll all line up at the same tempo. (i.e., the blocks have to be placed relative left of the position their note comes in, because the notes get "played" offscreen to the right as the level loads.)

Oh right, translations! 0:23 - Taiko no Tatsujin ~Gurenge~ [Oni difficulty] Desc: The difficulty has been further increased! This is definitely an "Oni" level!! Difficulty - Normal Hard [Oni] - Note: Lemme further translate what this all means. "Taiko no Tatsujin" is a rhythm game (Ryu has played it in the past, check it out if you want to know more). Hitting note blocks in this level emulates hitting the drum beats. "Gurenge" is the name if the song played, also known as the OP of the Demon Slayer anime. "Oni" is ogre/demon in the Japanese folklore, but in Taiko no Tatsujin they call the hardest difficulty setting available "Oni difficulty." I've seen that in other games as well (StepMania comes to mind first). The last text row represents a difficulty selection menu with Oni being selected. 10:50 - The conquered land 12:35 - Solid blocks and Banzai Bills Note: Today I learned that "Magnum Killer" is the Japanese name for Banzai Bill. Sounds kinda scary :D EDIT: I somehow overlooked the level at 10:50 and didn't translate it. I've included the translation now.

As a guy who loves Rhyth games - first level was really good, first level I see in SMM where you actually need to do stuff in Rhythm. Usually, it's either just music and you run || sprint or just regular level with music where your actions have nothing to do with Rhythm. This one nailed it. Btw , I think on double blocks you was supposed to hit them in between.

14:04 - My best guess is that the creator somehow was under the false impression that 100 seconds was the lowest they could set the timer. So when they could only come up with 42 seconds of actual level content, they added in 58 seconds of mandatory nothingness... Also, I got my second vaccine dose about a month ago. Holy crap, did I feel awful the next day - serious flu symptoms. Thankfully they only persisted for the one day. Still totally worth it, obviously. :-)
