The Google Translate app has a feature where you can point your camera at some text and it will translate it to your language. I checked and can translate the Japanese titles and descriptions in the video to English. Maybe Ryu can use the app to translate the Japanese text in real time? The description of the third level said that there were on/off switches under the gears--so he could be missing out on hints/tips.
