Miss those lovely 2nd hand/art flea market spots we could find in cities back home. Back in SF, CA we had a spot called Scraps in an industrial part of town. Fill up a brown bag with stuff @ a fixed price. Living overseas in a small city, nothing like that even exists here. Don't take art supplies for granted😉

Absolutely loved the positive talk about art progress taking time! I've been spending a lot of time recently looking back at past work for this exact reason. It's crazy to see how your style and skills grow with consistent practice! This was another lovely video! 💕

You told exactly my thoughts about skills and art, like 5 minutes before the video I was slightly crying (😂) because I can’t make art from my head, but watching you and other small creators here really gives a boost of inspiration and confidence, thank you ❤️

You inspire me so much to work on my own art, but gosh I struggle. I feel like I never make it past the sketch phase and it's so disheartening that I can never develop my own style or art. I love watching you and your unique shop and style grow and bloom. I hope one day I can accomplish what you have ❤

You should watch Ira Glass's talk about the Gap- basically the same gist articulated in the quote you read- the gap between taste and ability as you develop your craft.

just in case u plan on doing more art expos across the country, I believe I saw somewhere that it's better to have all the items you want to sell in your carry-on as its not likely to get lost when you ship them. The same thing with larger baggage, that stuff can sometimes get lost or not arrive in time. So yeah, definitely bring the items you plan to sell in your carry-on.
