Overflying conflict zones is a current risk in aviation. In its investigation of the Flight MH17 crash, the Dutch Safety Board issued eleven recommendations to manage these risks more effectively on a global scale. The recommendations focus on airspace management, sharing threat information, and risk assessment. The Dutch Safety Board has investigated what airlines, countries and ICAO, the international civil aviation organisation, have done about these recommendations.
