@@sashidharan1192 😊 … there have been claims of 100 mph even before the city of turo (GWR Class 3700) from Germany and the US. However there have been doubts on these claims. Recent computer simulations of the 1904 run indicate that the GWR loco had peaked under 99 mph. It is the flying Scotsman that holds the undisputed authenticated record of first at 100 mph. Perhaps I should have made a reference to the GWR loco as LNER and GWR were competing rivals…
