I experienced it first hand back in 2019 Dec 21st when I was onboard Shatapdi from Malda to Kolkata and it hit 132 kmph in speedometer it was the piggyface WDP 4 alsl I first saw WDP 4 back in 2013 when waiting for NJP HWH Shatapdi and when it arrived with NJP HWH I thought it was like a Bullet train of sorts

These dual tractions Vande Bharat Express trains are really useful to run in country like India for Rameshwaram to Chennai Egmore service due to incomplete electrification from Ramanathapuram to Mandapam.

Broad gauge is great. Especially for freight lines, you can move a lot of tonnage at a high speed. More nations should consider broad gauge as they modernize their rail systems.

I remember with great fondness being on the inaugural run of BCT NDLS Rajdhani highly excited as a child. Tea was served in individual Eagle vacuum glass flasks and we had to go by chair car. If I remember it was a WDM but I cannot remember if it was a single or a dual loco arrangement at the time.

If India want to export VB/VBs this is the way to go.. Bdesh & Srilanka don't have enough money to electrify whole network or make seprate HSR corridor.. VB would provide auro of 'bullet train' at much cheaper price & would be politically + financially popular

Standard gauge is more stable. The wider the distance between the wheels, the higher their oscillation which will make it unstable at a lower speed than standard gauge.

@@himanshusingh5214 have to disagree on this. 1676 Indian bg is more stable than the 1435 sg. Maybe extremely wide gauges cause higher oscillations but the 1676 does not have that problem
