Scenes that will probably never be repeated. This was a once-in-a-lifetime event I would've given anything to see this but I wasn't even born yet haha

I love how cutting through the other exhaust's is Scotsman's distinctive three cylinder beat. Stands out a mile away.

A late friend of mine drove R707 between Avenel and Seymour beside 3801. He told me that they gave 3801 a head start but caught up with it and overtook it after Avenel Bank

The Flying Scotsman is actually one of my favourite steam locomotives ever built. Wish it could come back to Australia again if it happens.

No! After everything he's been through and being almost lost in the U S Scott must never leave Britain again! There are thousands of videos online that give people worldwide the chance to see him.

I remember the triple parallel run if it happened yesterday even though I was only 5 years old at the time. It's unfortunate that it can't be repeated because the Scotsman is back in BR (British Rail) green and with smoke deflectors

Santa fe 6 chime
@VT29steamtrain2 жыл бұрын
It is a SAR Nathan 963-A-1030 6 chime off a first series 720 class Berkshire.
@aussie_trainspotting_videos Жыл бұрын
@@VT29steamtrain as I can recall, the SAR Nathan 6 chime is a replica of a Nathan. They used that whistle in the US on flying scotsman, so I think it's a Santa fe 6 chime, It does sound like one
@VT29steamtrain Жыл бұрын
@@aussie_trainspotting_videos The SAR used either genuine or copy Nathan 6's. The whistle on the Scotsman while it was here is most definitely not an ATSF 6.
