Sounds like Africa 🙃 Enjoy the rest of your stay there. Was there anything particularly unsafe about the airport area that you could not go out? I remember Tanzania and Dar Es Salaam as quite safe place and especially during the day time it was completely fine.

Thank you! There was literally nothing there to see/do just dirt roads, we weren’t in the city or anything and it just felt very sketchy there but maybe that’s also because we’d just arrived in Africa and were in shock with all the chaos 😅 we were told not to go out alone as well
