Phly, I've found that when youre on fire and you put your engine to zero throttle and press the engine restart button (which is I for me) and wait a moment, your fire might go out. It's worked for me a good amount of times and I believe it's a valid mechanic (or I'm just lucky). You should try that next time you fly out any plane and catch fire. It might work

Hello, Recently the m8 grayhound got put into War Thunder. And i read a on wikipedia the following: During the Battle of St. Vith in the Battle of the Bulge, an M8 of Troop B, 87th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron was able to destroy a German Tiger heavy tank after getting in behind one on the Schonberg Road, though the commander tried to traverse his turret to engage the M8. The M8 fired three 37 mm rounds through the relatively thin rear armor of the Tiger from only 25 yd (23 m), setting it on fire. There was a muffled explosion, followed by flames which billowed out of the turret and engine port.[4][5] So I got a challange, Take out a Tiger with the m8 Grayhaound and be like a hero like that grayhound crew was. They would have been so sacred for there lifes i imagen. A little armored car agains a Tiger . They are hero's hahaha. Anyway Would be awsome if you could try it out in War Thunder as well and keep up the good work^^

"It doesn't have a scope" *Well one does not need a microscope to see an elephant...* It was meant to obliterate (transport) ships and static targets like specific buildings. Targets that are to big to handle with conventional aircraft weapons like 12.7 mm machine guns or 30mm cannons but to small/ too close to things you don't want kaputt to bomb. ^^

10:21 the first thing to do when a engine lights on fire is to kill all throttle going to 0%, then kill the engine default button for that is "i" for ignition. Often that'll save your plane, even in a fighter.

@@aliminhas5981 ok to be fair, it’s decent but for it to make money and work effectively, you have to snipe and be a bitch about positioning. Never ever face an enemy, you must come up on their side or rear. Keep in mind you’ll be uptiered every match, with enemies that can pen 3x the amount of armor you have, all this while a gun from a whole BR lower... A better alternative is to just use the T26E4 Super Pershing, which has better armor and more range capabilities. You’ll get uptiered anyway, so whatever, just use the Super Pershing at this point.
