I think you shoukd try playing the tech tree Whirlwind. It's basically the equivalent of the plane of this video but for Great Britain. There's also the premium version which has a great ammo count for the 20mms

That double-bubble cockpit gave me a clue. I looked it up on Wikipedia and it turns out that this plane, being a high-altitude interceptor, was equipped with a pressurized cockpit.

I don't know how the pilot gets out, but the KI108 had a pressurized cockpit, and it's easier to contain the pressurized air in a cylinder or a sphere, so that's why it looks like it does I suspect

If you ever find yourself in a night battle at low teir turn your gamma all the way up. You'll be able to see perfectly. Just make sure you turn it back down after the battle

@@awheezle It's even worse at higher tier when the airfield has Rolands. The last guy will just fly circles around his airfield and any time someone launches at him, he'll hide behind a hill.

With this plane I dogfighted in my pyorremyrsky today and I was completely surprised, I went into the fight very confident and quickly my confidence was cooled, the dogfight was very even, The Ki-108 turned very well, I couldn't get to his six, I was probably doing something wrong, and in the end I ripped one of my flaps and lost the dogfight.

Yeah the reason on why its made how it is with a 37mm and 2 20mms is because it was designed to counter the high-altitude American bombers such as the B-29 Superfortress.

I usually struggle with Japanese guns if I leave them for a while to play some other nation. The velocity of their cannons is so low it's hard to get used to them again if you don't play them for a long time

Been playing the early ki-45s. They suck, terrible armaments, abysmal survivability and subpar climbrates... The best they do is some turn and some speed... Makes me so sad because i love heavy fighters/interceptors so much..... :(

Try using the Ki-45 Otsu, its by far the best from their 4 variants, and fully spaded it's very agile to a heavy fighter. Biggest problem is more about their BR, lots of very agile planes, just stick to intercept bombers.
