Fun fact, once an sr-71 heated up so much (because of how fast it was going) the titanium of the sr-71 literally disintegrated around the pilot.

The pilot Bill Weaver was thought to be dead, so his friend, Bob Gilliand (the test pilot) smoked one his cigars, and when he found out, he survived the crash he promised Bill a pack of the finest Cuban Cigars to this day he has not given them.

An other fun fact was that the SR-71 has fuel comming out of the wings when they refuelling. So at missions the did mid air refuelling after take-off, flown to there target and return to base. This plane was build to be fast perminantly. Imagine that you drive a car that could stand still or drive fast only.

I was in the Air Force for 8 years and a crew chief on fighter jets. While stationed at Eglin Air Force base in Florida I was able to get an up close look at the Blackbird and visit with the pilot. He said that the crew heated up their lunch placing It near the canopy. The canopy/windshield could get as hot as 650 degrees

The fuel used in the SR 71 is not regular jet fuel. It's more like the consistency of molasses. And the Blackbird speed was classified. It can exceed mach 4 and more.

Ja, X-Plane ist wohl ein sehr toller Simulator, aber auch FSX, wobei der letztere ein wenig zuviel Ressourcen braucht. Wie stehts mit FS2020, wo alsbald kommt. Wirst du dir den zulegen? Nebst all den Fragen, die ich mir gerade stelle - und nimm es nicht als Kritik auf - eher Neugier meiner Seite, interessante Videos. Wobei ich nicht gerade erpicht bin, Simulation-Videos reinzuziehen. Wünsche dir aber für dein Kanal viel Erfolg und Spass.
