4:34 to give you a little bit of context of how fast that plane was: The ISS travels at 27000 km/h. Mach 21.8 The Voyager 1, the fastest object we have ever had travels at 61500kmh. Mach 50. It means that, the plane was going at 296352 km/h. And the earth, orbits the sun at 108000 km/h. The plane was going even faster than the earth. And at the end, with Mach 337, it was going at the half the speed of the sun.

​@@Zinericks if the plane was going 296352 km/h, and the earth orbits the sun at 108000 kmh. the plane was roughly going 86 km/s, which is more than the escape velocity from earth, meaning it would create its own orbit. if the x-15 was in a binary system with earth, having a very similar orbit, and the same speed (296352 kmh), it would mean that to complete a full orbit around the sun takes around 130 days, which is almost 3 times faster than earth, so I miscalculated before.

You could try this again with an airplane that has autopilot to stabilize the altitude and direction of travel and then gently push on the throttle. and maybe also above water so it doesnt have to load in the textures. OR you get a new Pc. OR you do all of that. Anyways i'd love to see ayou fly at lightspeed...
