I just love seeing this wing fly! Maybe this one is too speed oriented for me but I am still excited for this tech to develop. I bet in the next few years we'll see wings with a similar system but intended more for efficient paragliding or paramotoring, rather than downhill speed. But still faster than what we're used to. This is how things went in the kite world. The first kites with mixer systems likes this were meant to be race winners, but they are better in many other ways too. When I fly an older kite with direct paraglider-style brakes now, it feels like I'm flying a plane that has no control surfaces except flaps. I know kites are different... but I am excited to see where it all leads. Thanks for the video!
@niconico39072 жыл бұрын
I'm sure This technology comes from kitesurfing.
@fwkb22 жыл бұрын
@@niconico3907 Yeah! Funny though... I think this was introduced to the kite world by Flysurfer, a subcompany of the paraglider maker Skywalk. I had the Flysurfer Speed back in the day, and that was also revolutionary at the time. And I guess Flare is a child of those same companies.

So how much break would you need to pull to hold level flight on an Atom 80? I like the idea of full speed integration in the most simple input possible but I feel like it needs a way to adjust the minimum break pull like a trim-like control on the break line pully so you don't have to use constant muscle tension to keep from going full blast. But excited to see where the tech goes.
