Many years ago, I think in the late 1990's or early 2000's, AA had a scheduled flight from JFK to ORD with a stop at LGA. The flight operated 6 days a week from LGA to ORD. This flight did not operate on Saturdays. On Sundays the equipment originated from PHX and terminated at JFK. Then the ORD flight would originate at JFK, stop at LGA then fly the final segment to ORD. The flight used the same flight number on both segments.

What a cool trip 👍 Back in the 90’s I did an around the world catholic charter call flight 101 for the statue who cried 101 times. We departed from runway 31L at JFK on our old Tower Air 747-100 flew right over the twin towers that seemed super close. We landed at EWR to pick up our passengers headed for Japan our 1st stop on this 2 week trip with and fuel stop in Anchorage. Mind you it was a 2 aircraft trip but the lead aircraft was flight 101 in honor of the blessed mother. Being it was a ferry flight I got to sit in the jumpseat right behind the captain at night. Now flying charter/scheduled especially military we did a lot of ferry flights and it was a privilege to sit up top of a 747 being a 20 something yr old, but I have to say out of all the ferry flights we did flying from JFK to EWR over the twin towers is something ill never forget, it was the shortest but most memorable flight of my life. Don't you feel a bit guilty for the flight attendants. They are not paid until the brakes are released at most airlines. However, before the brakes are released they load up the plane. Same on arriving at the destination. Brakes locked means end of their pay. Is that fair? Obviously you think so. 😢

At 1:15 you said you get "full day of pay" How does that work exactly? Is there a guarantee or something?

Varies by company, but usually it's around 5 hours of pay (minimum) per flying day, even if you actually fly less.
