For an extra 30-40 pounds, you could get 150-160 horsepower out ofman 0-320 couldn't you? So why not? What does the 0-235 offer theat makes it ideal?

Hi all watch this video again and keep an eye on the aft lower edge of the engine cowling. I think they need to add at least one more fastener. maybe open the rear of the cowling a bit.

UH depends on how it’s operated normal lsa max weight is 1320 with an average empty of 780-840 I believe the cruiser has a 1440 lbs max if you want to operate straight experimental .

Nice airplane. What is the actual empty weight of it with that engine?

That engine is about 40- 60 lbs heavier than the comparable Rotax or UL engine. So that might give you an idea. The prototype has the Lighter UL engine and it came in at 780 lbs I believe.

I'd like to see how the Rotax 915is comes out from a weight and power perspective as it might be a good fit with the Cruzer if you're flying at higher density altitudes.

Mark Thibault I understand it will be pricey though. I think engine alone is going to come in around $33-35 k
