This is my son-in-law and daughter's farm. They have put a lot of work into it. Our grandsons are the mowers. We are very proud of all of them. Glad you liked it and posted this.

Just a tip for the future, Don't blast all the parked airplanes with dirt and grass when you taxi up to park! Just shut down and push it back or turn away from the planes! I'd be pissed if you did that to my plane.

I'm curious as to why you think that ever happened? A low rpm turn on manicured grass with plenty of spacing is perfectly acceptable. Not to mention this is just part of it when you fly to cramped grass strips with small parking areas.

@@MotoFlightGuy I just thought it was unnecessary, and there's always grass and grit blown around. Just something to consider in the future is all. It looked like it was closer than it was maybe. Nice airfield!

I thought you were in a Tomahawk from the cockpit. I've got quite a bit of time in one of those including an instrument rating and spin training with the rudder AD being done. Then I saw it was a skipper which is essentially the same airplane. Sharp looking little airplanes especially with wheel pants. He does have a few bucks tied up into that little Paradise but no more than someone else would have in a home in a neighborhood. I have a place at Y91 in Michigan where I can taxi right up to my front door. The nice thing about that is I don't have to maintain the runway although volunteering this coming summer will be done as I'm on my first year owning that place. Will be putting a hanger on a lot that is being cleared behind what I call the shack affectionately. My own piece of paradise this side of heaven I guess. Took me a while to finally get it. 59 years of age and 36 plus years of aviating but thankfully I'm still young enough to enjoy it for a good many years.

I'd like to see the owner's lawn mower set up.

Lol, believe it or not, his kids mowed it with a couple of regular riding mowers, maybe 42in decks?
@jeffreydancinger28755 жыл бұрын
Oh man, I expected golf course mowers or something.

Awesome! Did you have any exposure to grass strips during your training, or was this your first time landing on one?
@MotoFlightGuy4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, a lot of grass exposure during my training. It's really my favorite, I'd rather fly off the grass than the asphalt

It doesn't have a name. Just a private airstrip at a house. Very very cool place
