So much information. I’d love to see some visuals added to help explain the orbit shots. Good tips.

Nice tips! Especially the manual orbit using the telemetry on screen!

Glad it was helpful! We love the ability to custom finesse the distance to the subject. It can be done with the POI slider, but there's a reason blockbuster films don't use in-camera autofocus.

Dude the orbit tip was right on point, I had heard that somewhere but couldn’t remember.. I searched for like 4 hours..! Randomly came across your video today! Thanks, now I can do it myself correctly again (I got it pretty close) and can just show others your video so they can do it. Small things in life I tell ya

Do you think it’s worth getting an inspire 2 now? Or do you think Dji has a new model on the horizon?
@askyellowhouse4 жыл бұрын
Hmmm... the time is slowly nearing, DJI seems to be in a new product cycle, though with all the new products it would be amazing if they had anything this year. Perhaps early 2021, because the I2 is older now, the DL mount and camera connector are still relevant, and CineSSD is getting a new reader(?) For larger capacities (~1TB). Maybe I’ll do a video on this.

@@askyellowhouse they won’t release the inspire 3 until 2022 !! It will come with a full frame 12K sensor and a new mount. So yeah don’t worry your i2 Is very relevant because they are also coming with a new 8K Zenmuse X8 camera for the inspire 2 ..... this new camera will have a new line of lenses as well.....

The Inspire 2 was delivered to me yesterday, and it's unreal. I only flew Mavic 2 Pro's, so this is very exciting. Thank you for the great info so needed. Your awesome...

You’re welcome Jon! Thanks for watching! Let us know what else you’d like to see a video about!

Did you find these useful? What else would you suggest for pilots that are learning?

Love it! That orbit trick is what's up. Thank you!

Glad you love it! The ability to hand-finesse getting closer/further is the real magic. You can do it with DJI’s Point of Interest feature, but it’ll never match something done by a real live human :)

Very useful - keep it coming! I'm new to drones (got in with the mini), so your tip vids are great and your reels are inspiring! and I love seeing shots of the hometown. Do you know if you can fly the mini downtown YYC without an advanced license? CPS has some confusing regulations with the control zone.
@askyellowhouse4 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Glad you're enjoying them, David! CPS' info is terrible and confusing and I understand they are working on it. You can fly a Mini downtown so long as you aren't putting people in danger, and you have permission to fly an aircraft from wherever you're standing. YYC has a bylaw against piloting a "model airplane" from a city road or sidewalk.

Thanks! Glad to know it's not just me.

Bro keep these coming wow your inspire 2 videos are so informative I would love to see what you have next ..... I also bought a brand new inspire 1 raw and a Osmo handle for the X5R ...... is it possible to match the cinema dng footage from my inspire 2 x5S and the X5R cinema Dng footage with the inspire 1 ? This way I can be on the ground as well and do some cool transition shots 😍🙏🤩

Great info bud. FAA part 107 sUAS operator in Massachusetts, USA. Flying Mavic 2 Pro, Phantom 4 PRO V.02, and Inspire 2 w/CrystalSky, upgraded antenna setup. 2 person team. Highly suggest pilots in training work with "experienced" instructor, not rely on KZbin stars who profess to know all the tricks. Work safe, see ya on the next mission! Doug@ the "ranch"
@askyellowhouse4 жыл бұрын
Hey Doug! Thanks for saying hi! Yeah ground school goes a long way, you learn a lot through years of flying that is tricky to condense into a video. Do you have any use for the new Mini 2? I’m seriously considering it for booting around downtown Calgary!

@@askyellowhouse Good question! I'm primarily shooting antenna tower inspections, power transmission towers, solar panel installs on commercial building rooftops, and cell tower technology attached to smokestacks, towers, and commercial real estate up close for insurance companies, tower maintenance companies, and building owners. The fun-flying is limited due to the work schedule. I have a dedicated crew that goes above and beyond always, but we still get backed up with jobs. We do this full-time, not as recreational flyers, but as a service business. If I "had" some downtime, I'd definitely entertain a Mini 2 just to "play with". Thanx for the holler back, work safe, see ya on the next mission! Doug@ the "ranch"

Question, I'm noticing my x7 isn't centering with the center of the i2 when I click the recenter button on my controller. This makes push ins and pull outs tricky as a single operator. Have you experienced this and if so how did you correct it?
@askyellowhouse3 жыл бұрын
If a camera gimbal calibration doesn’t fix the issue, the X7 has to be sent back to DJI.

Do you get much call for FPV content in Canada? Since flying a lot of FPV, I've grown to really like viewing the image through a pair of goggles. Do you every use them?
@askyellowhouse4 жыл бұрын
We’ve started dabbling in FPV but it’s not our wheelhouse at the moment! Heavy lift is coming first. A little safer. We’re liking the Tinyhawk 2 and its budget goggles!

@@askyellowhouse I did start out analogue with the TH2/goggles but found 1. I could adjust the viewing system to my eyesight. 2. Break-up was terrible at anything out 50' or more. 3. I like to cruise around and check things out but I couldn't really see anything. Consequently, I switch to the digital DJI system. What a relief that was. Fortunately, I came late to the party and didn't have to go through the whole analogue journey, spend the money, build all my own stuff, etc. Personally, I'm not interested in building...I'm interested in flying, safe, dependable quads where you can film 4k and actually see where your going visually. As I mentioned, I've grown to love the DJI goggles setup. Actually I'm more relaxed because I'm totally immersed into the visual environment...whereas, when I fly the mavic with the crystal sky...as good as the image is...it's not the same. I thought I'd never say that. Btw...I don't fly "free style' that much...really not that interested...I fly cinematic cruise exploring...much more suited to my personality and the content I create for clients.
