I had a great time flying with you. I always wondered what the KW airport is really like and now I know. Thanks for letting us know which airlines fly there. I finally figured out who Laurie reminds me of -- one of my university calculus professors. She was from Atlanta. It was hard initially as she talked very s l o w. Not that Laurie does. She was fabulous and said the funniest things while doing problems such as " lets plug and chug". Beautiful video ❤

Cool vid.. i love driving from ft Lauderdale thru the keys but.... when its a quick impusive trip and I have ti catch the sunset at Mallory sq I'll land in key west grab my "Turo" rental jeep and get my butt on Duval! Catch "Mufasa " singing as the sun sizzles into the ocean. The keys are a special place and Im a little short bus special so I fit in perfectly 😅 I'm talking about the "LIFE'S TOO SHORT BUS" that goes back and forth to Ibis Bay resort...😅😂😅 thx for the video.

I'm not sure what day and time this video was shot in the KW airport, but the last two times I have flown out midday, it was so crowded, you literally could not walk thru the departures are without elbowing through. It is a horrible experience.

Hey Y'all .... Rocky here I was stationed in KW late 60s...that terminal hasn't changed a lot since then I always liked flyin into FT lauderdale and drivin down in a rental convert....My dau. is flyin down this WE from Atl. short visit with friends that own a mansion there which is on tha market for over a mil. ....I've spoken to you Mark a cpl times...We lived in Gainesville and had a mutual friend Brian Sargent at Chestatee had two boys that played ball....Safe travels to ya....

Soooooo much to be said for small quiet airports. Especially in FL. And miniscule security lines... so nice. That camera thru the scanner was Hilarious! The FBI will be visiting you shortly! The ATR is a French Italian regional A/C, final assy in Toulouse, France Great video. RT to my airport, RSW, is 800 bucks. But I think as low as 450 if you can find the flight. But Dallas is only 600 RT!.... buuuuuuut, you hafta fly to jersey en route. Very cool airport tho.... wish I lived there.

Merry Christmas to you! the drive through the Keys from Miami or Ft. Lauderdale is just fine most of the time and certainly scenic. But, getting out of either and the traffic to get to the Keys has been nothing but a nightmare for us in the past. Maybe I'm getting too old, but driving in that Miami traffic doing 80 - 100mph just to stay with traffic....or dead stopped for hours....just can't do it anymore. The house is coming along slowly, but a video will come!

I had the worst experience with Silver Airlines to and from Key West, I will NEVER use them again.

That was our first time on Silver, it was very seamless. However, coming back from Atlanta on Delta, we got to our gate just before boarding time and nobody was there. Apparently they told everyone standing in line that the plane was down for maintenance and told everyone to go to a different gate, but did not send emails or update the Delta app....so we had to jump back on the train and go to a different terminal and gate and just barely made the plane....

I used to work for a shuttle service primarily to PHL but I taken people to every airport from JFK TO IAD Is there such a service in the keys??

There are several actually. Not sure of all the names but it's easy and cheap to get back and forth through the Keys on the shuttles.

Allegant flies from Orlando Sanford to Key West, flights are seasonal but super cheap..

Baggage claim in Key West is very slow. Took over 25 minutes after we were in the terminal. Would not recommend checking baggage to Key West!

If you flew into anywhere else it would take 25 minutes just to get to baggage claim 😂 I think it’s because it only takes a few minutes into the terminal that it seems so long!

Honestly could not tell you...we bought what ever was available at Bealls outlet here in town. Cheap luggage, but works great so far!

Does Tampa Airport fly direct to the Keys ?

I'm really not sure, you might check google or the different carriers out of Tampa. There is a cool high speed ferry that makes trips back and forth from Key West to Ft. Myers ....I know it's not Tampa but it's not that far!

Selling Key West airport 😂. You failed to cover HOW MUCH more ticket prices are than Miami and most flights are crop dusters 😂

Well that's tough to say when prices change continuously. Some folks will pay much higher prices for tickets if the convenience and stress is less flying into Key West. "Selling" is a stretch...we were sharing information and our personal experience. If you know anyone at the Key West airport PR department let me know, I'd love to get paid!
