In this episode we trek down to the Confederate military prison in Andersonville, Ga. Flying there instead of driving made this a one-day trip bot possible by car. #flying #aviation #aircraft #pilot #KJZP #KACJ

Nice flight and interesting topic. With so much open space and trimmed grass near the fort, too bad you weren’t able to land right there.

Hi, great video. Thank you. It looks like your flap position indicator may be operating intermittently, between the last video and this one. I built my ELSA RV-12, had early issues with one or two of the flap position connectors I crimped on. Easy to resolve and some good learning for me re: properly adjusting the crimper. Since then, the indicator has been spot on to my eyeballs on the flaperons. Do you know what is going on with the indicator? Scott

Hi Scott, thanks for noticing. My indicator works intermittently. Usually works on the ground and X'es out in the air. Could be vibrations or air loading that sets it off. I intended to order a new position sensor and have my A&P put it in next month, but reading about your experience makes me think I should instead have him verify that it is crimped right. Because it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't I suspect the sensor itself is OK but the problem is with some linkage.
