0:33 what "standard airport procedure"? If it is a domestic flight, you can just walk off the plane and out of the airport. For international flights, you have to go through immigration and customs, but you have to do those for international train journeys too.

If you are not checking bags, you don't have to wait in the bag drop line. Most airlines allow online check-in, so again, no need to line up. And there really is no need to get to the airport 2-3 hours early; 45 minutes is just fine.
