Maybe, perhaps (this is just a guess), though could the champions league being canceled have something to do with the cups? For example, in my Derby County CM, I got promoted and won the Carabao Cup in the 1st season, then next season I had a qualification playoff for the group stages of the Europa League. Maybe, because League 1 and 2 teams keep on winning the Carabao Cup, the game may not actually let them enter European competition as they are not of a high enough league, like the Prem, so maybe they just don't have an English team to enter into the Champions League (I may be completely wrong, I am just guessing based off knowledge). Edit: looking back at the video and checking the groups of the 'broken' Champions League, there are actually 4 English clubs in there (Newcastle, Palace, Cardiff and Wolves), so I officially have no clue what's happening

The ucl was broken because an originally seeded team won the ucl, so sparta praha had 2 places in the ucl. Thats why 1 group has a TBD team and it didnt progress past the group stages. Also I think whatever you did to make them 1 ovr didnt work on rest of the world teams because they were the best teams in the ucl for both seasons
