Just letting you know 2019 was a bad winter especially in the south so in lapland 2021 february I was told there was well over 1 Meter of snow and -30˚C

Rolling in the snow in between of sauna is definitely a finnish tradition. I used to do it all the time when I was a kid. It's supposed to make you tougher. Like hardening steel. ;)

I was so fortunate that my parents brought me on a trip to Lapland when I was about 5 and it was honestly the most magical experience of my life. I'm 31 now and often think back to my trip to Lapland and can't wait to go back and experience it as an adult!

Being in Europe over the Christmas period is something that’s definitely on the bucket list. I’ve experienced a white Christmas once again while in Canada and I loved that can only imagine a Christmas in Europe would be so much better then that.

In a bad scenario it can get -50C in Lapland. While I was in in Lapland while in the army, I was 3 days in the forest without a tent, building phone cable connections, and it was -42C to -45C. Not a nice weather to be outside a long period. When I got finally into a tent, the boots were frozen around the feet, from sweat: had to wait until the ice melted to get the boots off.

Love Lapland! I went when I was about 12 years old and it is still so memorable. We actually skipped the Santa bit (my parents hate that kind of thing) and went straight to the snow! We also get a Christmas decoration from everywhere we travel!

Ah man, this just makes me want to go back to Scandinavia 😍 We did the Polar Night in Norway a few years ago and it was magical! We also went to a traditional Sami reindeer settlement to meet the reindeers, have a sleigh ride, and sit in a lavvu (tipi) around a warm fire. The best! 🙌❄️
