I used to do carnie work but there wasn't enough bunks and it was ROUGH. I got burned out and stopped but I loved the work. It is hard honest work but it also depends on the crew your with. You want to know your buddies limitations and help each other. Every show is different indeed I wish more Carnies looked at like you did. Workers such as I wouldn't burn out as fast.

You can’t beat standing around a fire kicking the shit with your crew wherever you are whoever you are.

I recall back in the 6th grade how we all took turns standing up in front of our class, explaining what we wanted to be when we grew up. I was the the only one that that said "work at the fair" back in 77 around there the flying bob sled was my favorite ride at the Yuma County Fair.
