Cheryl Fisher Did you have to do any decluttering first?
@marie-louiseweerheim42244 жыл бұрын
@@poolahpot no, you can start any time. The secret slob has a series here on KZbin to help you get started on daily routines! I found that so much time and energy can go to decluttering, (un)packing (we were moving) etc. And then for example piles of dishes (daily routine) stressed me out. When the daily routines go smootly you can add other things like decluttering. What I do now is declutter while I'm in a zone. So for example the week you clean the kitchen you also declutter in the kitchen.

It is wonderful when someone who has struggled with something in their life, and has overcome it, is now helping others with the same problem. A lot of this stuff is mental. If the directions are confusing then we are going to go even further down the rabbit hole. We are already confused. That's why our houses look like they do. I open a cupboard and everything falls in my head. Complicated explanations can easily lead to overwhelmed feelings. So, gratitude gratitude gratitude. I am still in baby steps but already was starting to feel a bit confused about how the program looks overall. This cleared up a lot of confusion.

I’m fact I started something similar on my own and well....it never really launched!🙃 Thank you for this video!! Love it & understand the system. I took your advice and got the book from the library. Oh! 2 things I did was pull all my cleaning supplies to one spot & pitched empty & never used items & split it up to Kitchen Bathroom Game room bathroom. Now I only have what I use and in each location so I’m not running for supplies, it’s easily within reach! I have always loved to clean 🤷♀️ but this is what I need-simple doable not all day, now I’ll find the time to scrapbook! Thanks to you and The Queen Fly Lady-Marla 😁

I like the Flylady system, because it also incorporates works that are outside of cleaning, i.e. stuff that one tends to procrastinate on, planning and even cleaning out your handbag/car. Obviously you can do whatever you want, but that a system actually mentions it helps. For me, I dont do everything that is said because I dont want to spend my little free time doing that much housework as a full time employee after my 9-5 job, I prioritize other things.
