This song was my introduction to flyleaf back in 2009 lacey was an amazing vocalist her voice was so mesmerising & captivating.😃 Flyleaf's album momento mori is their best album of 2009 & still is till this day every song on the album is fantastic.😃 Great reaction bro well done.😃🤘

No sir that is not what this song means at all. The song is form a christian perspective on suffering and Christ encouraging them through the suffering to keep going . "Your so close to me that you nearly died" So close to Christ as Jesus said " Whoever wants to follow me must take up their cross and bear it" the Theme of Dying unto self and sin is common through the scriptures. Christ suffered a lot in this world ultimately choosing to suffer on our behalf by taking all our sin onto himself on the cross by dying to himself "Not my will but yours be done lord" so that we would have the choice of whoever believes in him as the way the truth and the life may be saved. When it comes to " They don't have to understand you be still" Many in this life do not understand your own personal pain and suffering and journey in life. A lot of time others have great ideas or opinions on how you should be or feel or react etc. But the maker of your soul who knows ever hair on your head rather then fear or worry says " Be still and know that I am God" That he knows all your needs and worries, he came and sufferd like this also on the earth and understands you even if no one else dose. Its no a picture of regret or infidelity but a beautiful picture of Christ being ever present, ever helping and always loving and caring and providing for us in our times of need even when we don't understand. This song means so much to me as it helped me a lot after years of Chemotherapy as a teenager. I would say though sir to get a better understanding of what she actually meant look up what she has to say as Lacy would really be the only one who fully knows the meaning.. Hope that helped
