My hands are searching for You My arms are outstretched towards You I feel You on my fingertips My tongue dances behind my lips for You There's fire risin' through my being Burning, I'm not used to seeing You I'm alive (alive), I'm alive (alive) I can feel You all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing My hands float up above me And You whisper, You love me And I begin to fade into our secret place The music makes me sway The angels singing, say, "We are alone with You" I am alone and they are too with You I'm alive (alive), I'm alive (alive) I can feel You all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing And so I cry (holy) The light is white (holy) And I see You... I'm alive (I'm alive), I'm alive (I'm alive) I'm alive... I can feel You all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing Take my hand, I give it to You Now You own me, all I am You said, You would never leave me I believe You, I believe I can feel You all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healed

Skillet and Red also kick a.. !!! In a couple of weeks , if there is time to sing 2 songs , on Friday , the 8th , I'm going to sing , "Mystery Of You", and either "Yours Again", or "Hold Me Now", by Red . It's really hard to decide . They're both really great songs . I love to belt it out when I sing . It is so much fun !!!

".....That’s why I sing this song, I sing it to God. It’s really intimate as well, you can think about it as a relationship between two people in love, too. I never think about it that way, but what’s so cool about that is I think there’s parallels everywhere - in everything in life. I think that that parallel is something that God wants to communicate to us, that he gives us relationships like that, an intimacy like that." -Lead singer Lacey Sturm, on the radio show LA Lloyd’s Rock 30

I just wanted to add that quote so no one can say that you have the song and its meaning wrong. That's what's so beautiful about music is that each person listens to it and interprets it in a totally new meaning and experience. It's beautiful!

The messiah's name was always going to be Jesus according to Zechariah Chapter 6... which is the same name as the post exile high priest ,Yeshua! if the concept of Messiah and God are separate then it doesn't automatically follow that sins can be forgiven.. only God can forgive sins. furthermore if the expectation of Messiah is to reverse the events of Genesis 3 Genesis 6 and Genesis 11 then by Definition messiah has to be more than just a man. Jesus being born of Mary but not of Joseph is not a problem according to Jewish history because I believe during the reign of Queen Alexandra Jewish law made Heritage pass on, by matrilineal Bases. A basis for the Trinity can be established in the Old Testament by passages like Amos 4:11Isaiah 48:16.. and Judges chapter 2:1 and Daniel 7:9-14 Support for the idea of God becoming man in Scripture are Deuteronomy 18 verses 15 to 18 Focus of the verse speaks of the coming Messiah coming from lineage of Israel like unto moses. We also have Exodus chapter 23 verse 20 and 21 the context of which is speaking about the future Endeavor of going over Jordan then we come to Joshua chapter 5 verses 13 to 15 and the context of this passage is having just gone over the Jordan into Israel. Another proof of this idea perhaps most glaringly Jeremiah chapter 1 verses 4-10... the first thing you want to pay attention to is titles in verse 4 and verse 9... Hashem and the word of the Lord these titles are used interchangeably there's some definite implication there but the point of emphasis here is verse 9 because it goes a little further than just anthropomorphic language. Now the next concern is did Jesus ever claim to be God? And for this the scriptures I would provide are Matthew 26:64 Jesus directly quotes Daniel 7:13 John 10:34 Jesus claims to be the judge in Psalm 82 referencing verse 6 In John 10 versus Both 11 and 14 Jesus Yeshua says that he is the Good Shepherd and you can cross-reference this with the very first line of Psalm 23. In Mark chapter 6 starting from verse 45 Jesus walks on the water this is something designated in the Old Testament for something only God (job 9:8) can do this separates Jesus from the other people who did miracles. Where another claim would be is in the fact that Jesus forgives sins, off the top of my head is Mark chapter 2 now certainly there have always been Messianic claimants but none of them have ever claimed to forgive sins. Now the question becomes why would Jesus so secretive why didn't he just come out and say that he was the Lord God of Israel?... well one scripture off the top of my head of that I would provide here that might be interesting is this Matthew 16:20 "then he commanded his disciples that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ"... my suggestion to you here, would be that the crucifixion how to take place at a certain place at a certain time and under a specific set of circumstances. Please Look into all the scriptures I made mention here I hope this helps even one person Hashem bless everyone of you... in the name of Jesus both son and God of David king of Israel, amen!

I never want to understand why people obscure the message like this. As a Christian, today... This speaks to me. I understand the symbology of the video and the lyrics perfectly. As a lost person, years ago, in my youth? I hadn't the slightest clue what your music was about and none of my peers who heard it on the radio did either. We just liked how it sounded. I wish that this fence-sitting message style would either bolden up or die out, and I know from the Word the Lord feels the same.

This is a good song and after being 35 I still think so However there's something else that I want to address because usually people who listen to this are in the mode of thinking that any argument can be settled merely with emotion people have unknowingly adopted a worldview that says that "truth is relative rather than objective" or "if it feels good it must be right" this idea goes right under people's nose in plain sight however if this idea has taken to its full extent than this means that no one has any logical right or justification to complain about anyting.... for the person that thinks that truth is only relative I would only ask what keeps them from falling into nihilism (.. idea that nothing matters everything that everyone ever hope for a struggle for is ultimately meaningless life is meaningless)... because relativism lead you in two ways either nihilism or hedonism (Hedonism being the idea of living only for pleasure)... and we all know that can turn bad really quick then one will potentially find themselves justifying what find detestable... so for the person reading this, if this indeed applies to you or someone you know, then some food for thought...why would one be engaging in an idea such as the truth being relative or relativism when it potentially leads to so much harm, and based on an historical account of human nature, often does?... Ultimately the idea of Live and Let Live sounds good to our ears but does harm because it really devolve down to I'll let you get away with what you want to get away with if you let me get away with what I want to get away with.... and again with human nature being what it is, why even promote an idea like that?.

Coming back so many years later and I finally understand the deep meaning. "I can feel You all around me, thickening the air I'm breathing, holding onto what I'm feeling, savoring this heart that's healing" is talking about the Holy Spirit moving in the midst of prayer/worship. I experienced this multiple times while saying my prayers at nighttime. Believers rejoice because it is the craziest yet calmest peace and most incredible enveloping experience. We know everything will be okay because the Spirit reassures us like the Bible says He would. I'm so thankful for Jesus' sacrifice and His asking of the Father to deliver the Spirit to us. Thank You, God
@georgemiddleton68432 жыл бұрын
I just want to say that I 100% agree with that, but I have known that for a while now, I don't think of it as only the holy spirit though, it is more then that, it is power and love flowing through you or others to help the ones they care for. It has nothing to do with ONE THING but has to do with everything.

She is happy to be alive. She contemplated suicide, and I think she talked to her mom about it, and her mom brought her to church. I guess the Pastor keyed in on this and talked to her about suicide and Jesus' Love, and she ended up becoming Christian after attending a few more times. That's at least how I was told the story goes. This song has parallel meanings that could be interpreted as love for Jesus or love for a significant other. Either way, this is good music. The reason this Christian Rock band succeeded where so many before failed is because they're not over the top with the lyrics. They're not like Jesus this, Moses that, etc. They understand their audience. People don't listen to Rock music to have religious messages slammed at them. If people wanted that, they'd go to church or listen to traditional gospel music. Flyleaf found a perfect balance with delivering their message subtly enough that it will appeal to almost anyone, Christian or not, while not being so over the top about it that one feels as though one is at church listening to them. I love this band.

@@codyderickson0 I'm glad your parents are good to you, enough to where you consider them your 'gods'. My dad threatened to kill my family and then take out as many people as possible before killing himself. Instead, he killed himself last year and I found him. It reminds me just how different the world is for everyone and how much religion plays a part in our lives. RIP Dad, even though you hurt me, I still miss you.
