I've just gotten into Flyleaf early this month , and I've been watching all of their videos , I sang "Run To You", twice , and "Life Screams", by Lacey Sturm . I'm going to sing this song tomorrow . I'm so excited !!! I can't get enough of this song . I absolutely love it !!!! I lost count how many times I've watched this video , and the one with lyrics , in the last couple of days . Seriously !! And , I'm going to get Lacey Sturm's CD , "Life Screams", next month . Yes !! I love Flyleaf and Lacey Sturm . This is great music , and I really love to rock out , and sing with passion , too . I'm 51 years old , and I enjoy singing , dancing , and writing , as Jesus has called me to do . This is so rewarding and satisfying , and yes , Jesus is very exciting !!! This music kicks a.. !!!!

I'm going to get Skillet's new CD , "Victorious", and the one that came before that , "Unleashed Beyond"- Deluxe Edition , this month , and in the last couple of days , I've watched 20 videos from Red . Skillet and Red also kick a.. !!! In a couple of weeks , if there is time to sing 2 songs , on Friday , the 8th , I'm going to sing , "Mystery Of You", and either "Yours Again", or "Hold Me Now", by Red . It's really hard to decide . They're both really great songs . I love to belt it out when I sing . It is so much fun !!!

There's a lot of Christian music I can't listen to because it takes me back to a bad time in my life but this song always makes me feel God's love and it feels like He's reminding me who He truly is. The messiah's name was always going to be Jesus according to Zechariah Chapter 6... which is the same name as the post exile high priest ,Yeshua! if the concept of Messiah and God are separate then it doesn't automatically follow that sins can be forgiven.. only God can forgive sins. furthermore if the expectation of Messiah is to reverse the events of Genesis 3 Genesis 6 and Genesis 11 then by Definition messiah has to be more than just a man. Jesus being born of Mary but not of Joseph is not a problem according to Jewish history because I believe during the reign of Queen Alexandra Jewish law made Heritage pass on, by matrilineal Bases. A basis for the Trinity can be established in the Old Testament by passages like Amos 4:11Isaiah 48:16.. and Judges chapter 2:1 and Daniel 7:9-14 Support for the idea of God becoming man in Scripture are Deuteronomy 18 verses 15 to 18 Focus of the verse speaks of the coming Messiah coming from lineage of Israel like unto moses. We also have Exodus chapter 23 verse 20 and 21 the context of which is speaking about the future Endeavor of going over Jordan then we come to Joshua chapter 5 verses 13 to 15 and the context of this passage is having just gone over the Jordan into Israel. Another proof of this idea perhaps most glaringly Jeremiah chapter 1 verses 4-10... the first thing you want to pay attention to is titles in verse 4 and verse 9... Hashem and the word of the Lord these titles are used interchangeably there's some definite implication there but the point of emphasis here is verse 9 because it goes a little further than just anthropomorphic language. Now the next concern is did Jesus ever claim to be God? And for this the scriptures I would provide are Matthew 26:64 Jesus directly quotes Daniel 7:13 John 10:34 Jesus claims to be the judge in Psalm 82 referencing verse 6 In John 10 versus Both 11 and 14 Jesus Yeshua says that he is the Good Shepherd and you can cross-reference this with the very first line of Psalm 23. In Mark chapter 6 starting from verse 45 Jesus walks on the water this is something designated in the Old Testament for something only God (job 9:8) can do this separates Jesus from the other people who did miracles. Where another claim would be is in the fact that Jesus forgives sins, off the top of my head is Mark chapter 2 now certainly there have always been Messianic claimants but none of them have ever claimed to forgive sins. Now the question becomes why would Jesus so secretive why didn't he just come out and say that he was the Lord God of Israel?... well one scripture off the top of my head of that I would provide here that might be interesting is this Matthew 16:20 "then he commanded his disciples that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ"... my suggestion to you here, would be that the crucifixion how to take place at a certain place at a certain time and under a specific set of circumstances. Please Look into all the scriptures I made mention here I hope this helps even one person Hashem bless everyone of you... in the name of Jesus both son and God of David king of Israel, amen!

You can perceive this song in any way you want but the truth is the truth....when I was in a dark place I looked at this song as a release and freeing....I was far away from God but listening to this song made me hold onto life because I wasn't alone, This song made me see everyone went through things in life and someone was hearing me but I never associated it with God.....I loved this song so much! I feel like God was with me in this song and I didn't even know it! As I feel like He is with everyone in this song and they don't even know it until it's time to know it!!! ❤😊 I understand what you're saying and I agree but also we gotta see that this song is very healing even when we didn't know where the healing was coming from....But then when we come to God we realize true long lasting healing is only found in Him ✝️✨📖🙌🏽

If by "truth" you mean the meaning of the song, I wouldn't call that truth. What the song is for the artists themselves, doesn't mean it has to be the same for everyone. That's the beauty of art. There's not one meaning or a "right" meaning. It's fluid. You can believe whatever you want and I can believe whatever I want as well. No "truth" or "lie" in any meanings.

The reason this Christian Rock band succeeded where so many before failed is because they're not over the top with the lyrics. They're not like Jesus this, Moses that, etc. They understand their audience. People don't listen to Rock music to have religious messages slammed at them. If people wanted that, they'd go to church or listen to traditional gospel music. Flyleaf found a perfect balance with delivering their message subtly enough that it will appeal to almost anyone, Christian or not, while not being so over the top about it that one feels as though one is at church listening to them. I love this band.

This is a good song and after being 35 I still think so However there's something else that I want to address because usually people who listen to this are in the mode of thinking that any argument can be settled merely with emotion people have unknowingly adopted a worldview that says that "truth is relative rather than objective" or "if it feels good it must be right" this idea goes right under people's nose in plain sight however if this idea has taken to its full extent than this means that no one has any logical right or justification to complain about anyting.... for the person that thinks that truth is only relative I would only ask what keeps them from falling into nihilism (.. idea that nothing matters everything that everyone ever hope for a struggle for is ultimately meaningless life is meaningless)... because relativism lead you in two ways either nihilism or hedonism (Hedonism being the idea of living only for pleasure)... and we all know that can turn bad really quick then one will potentially find themselves justifying what find detestable... so for the person reading this, if this indeed applies to you or someone you know, then some food for thought...why would one be engaging in an idea such as the truth being relative or relativism when it potentially leads to so much harm, and based on an historical account of human nature, often does?... Ultimately the idea of Live and Let Live sounds good to our ears but does harm because it really devolve down to I'll let you get away with what you want to get away with if you let me get away with what I want to get away with.... and again with human nature being what it is, why even promote an idea like that?.

Coming back so many years later and I finally understand the deep meaning. "I can feel You all around me, thickening the air I'm breathing, holding onto what I'm feeling, savoring this heart that's healing" is talking about the Holy Spirit moving in the midst of prayer/worship. I experienced this multiple times while saying my prayers at nighttime. Believers rejoice because it is the craziest yet calmest peace and most incredible enveloping experience. We know everything will be okay because the Spirit reassures us like the Bible says He would. I'm so thankful for Jesus' sacrifice and His asking of the Father to deliver the Spirit to us. Thank You, God
@georgemiddleton68433 жыл бұрын
I just want to say that I 100% agree with that, but I have known that for a while now, I don't think of it as only the holy spirit though, it is more then that, it is power and love flowing through you or others to help the ones they care for. It has nothing to do with ONE THING but has to do with everything.

Ultimately the idea of Live and Let Live sounds good to our ears but does harm because it really devolve down to I'll let you get away with what you want to get away with if you let me get away with what I want to get away with.... and again with human nature being what it is, why even promote an idea like that?

She is happy to be alive. She contemplated suicide, and I think she talked to her mom about it, and her mom brought her to church. Preface: I get where you're coming from. However... She doesn't want the glory. That's the thing. Her heart is one of pure worship, and a worshipper's heart always desires all glory to go to God. I say that to say she'd rather you say, "Hail Jesus" instead of "Hail Lacey."
@kurioscomics Жыл бұрын
@@jaebassist Do you know Lacey personally? Is that what she told you? I get we always feel the need to correct something. I do it too. I'm using Hail as a compliment not worshipping her. You can lift each other up. There are many examples in the bible. Christianity got people believing in a man made religion instead of The commandments of Adonai Yeshua The Living Torah. Hail Elohim in The Highest! I'm not trippin Brother, just sayin. Do you have any vids playing on bass? I play the drums sort of. Just started playing three months ago.

@kurioscomics Maybe it was me misreading your comment. Mine was meant more as an encouragement, but it seems like you got it lol I haven't recorded or uploaded any, but there's some stuff floating around KZbin that I'm playing on. It's all older, though.

I didnt know this was a religious song either but on a side note I find that religious inspired music just holds so much emotion on a whole nother level can't help but respect it

I like the vague wording of the song. It’s open to interpretation for those who don’t have any religion, which makes me (someone with no religion, but who is not an atheist) very happy.
@tshortbull86834 жыл бұрын
@@tortis6342 Okay but the lyrics aren't vague at all. Anyone with any kinda experience in church will instantly understand what she's singing about, and that's her intent. Saying they're vague implies that she intentionally wrote em that way. Not the case. Every lyric very clearly references praying, singing hymns and the holy spirit.
@tortis63424 жыл бұрын
T Short Bull I don’t have any experience in a church. Also saying the lyrics are vague does not mean she wrote them like that on purpose. All I meant was that I could interpret them in my own way, and that makes me happy. I like to come up with my own meanings for things.
@LordEptar4 жыл бұрын
What I appreciate about Flyleaf, more specifically this song, is how vague it sounds and reads. Without digging into the band's history, most people wouldn't know this is a song about Christ. As for religious music holding more emotion, you need to look at it from the personal involvement in said religion from each band member; Lacy is a highly devoted Christian, and she puts that sort of emphasis in her religious songs. If you listen to something like Doom metal, you can feel the raw dread and sadness in the music; it conveys the pain and anguish each band member feels or felt perfectly. It's not just something you can write and perform without having the emotion to back it up.

I don't know...a Christian Emo band is a bit of an oxymoron. I thought Jesus was supposed to make everything great!?! And I have to disagree, religious inspired songs usually lack emotion because of the shifting of what's responsible for those emotions. Take responsibility for all the good and bad in your life, it's refreshing! Not trying to talk crap, but she sounds like she wants to slit her wrists while saying Jesus makes her feel so alive. I just don't get it. I remember this band, but didn't know the song. Came here cause I wanted to see what song Brodie Smith used as his intro song for the Dynamic Discs Open...makes so much sense! Fake disc golfer picks a fake Emo song!!!

My hands are searching for you My arms are outstretched towards you I feel you on my fingertips My tongue dances behind my lips for you This fire rising through my being Burning, I'm not used to seeing you I'm I'm alive, I'm I'm alive I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing My hands float up above me And you whisper you love me And I begin to fade Into our secret place The music makes me sway The angels singing say we are alone with you I am alone, and they are too with you I'm alive, I'm alive I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing And so I cry (holy) The light is white (holy) And I see you…

It is Christmas, our God is good: The Fellowship of the Believers 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
