That’s so true what Lorne says. My first SNL cast made an indelible impression on me. This was the Carvey, Spade, Sandler, etc. era. Church Lady, Opera Man, Toonses the Cat Who Can Drive, Hans and Franz. What an amazing cast you guys all were!

New subscriber here. TYSM for lifting the veil of your comic banter brains. It feels like I'm sitting next to you in a café and am listening to you both shoot the sh*t. I work from home on Fridays and wear noise cancelling headphones. The neighbors probably think I'm crazy as I laugh and snort my okole off the entire time I'm listening with you both. Thank you also, for not getting political - and talking about how hard it is to navigate the political waters these days. Comedy should never be anything but funny and funny knows no bounds.

I was 10…and not allowed to watch…but my friends and I found ways to accomplish that task. At 10 a lot of that humor was a bit lost on me but my 14-16 year old babysitter’s filled us in.😂 Those were the days. I was in my mid 20’s when SNL was a show I could not miss. I’d record that on the VCR..which was a labor of love as a tech dinosaur. Chris Farley remains one of my favorites but I’ve got favorites from every stretch. I’ve been so relieved to see SNL have Dana come back on..things were getting dismal. Not so much due to the current cast; more so the current stranglehold on actual comedy. I’m happy to see even a couple episodes that are funny these past weeks. Takes me back. 😁✌🏼

Ok, I waited until today (Tuesday) to listen to this. As a bizarre coincidence, this past weekend, I was thinking about the Paul Anka Odia Coates song (You’re) Having my Baby and how ridiculous it is. I’m in Montreal, Canada, so this (Canadian) song was on the radio all the time when I was kid. 35 minutes in, it comes up on the show, I’m not even sure why, and then at the end, I’m killing myself laughing, and then I hear my name, Dana goes ‘Patrick’s going nuts’. Who’s Patrick? You’ve never mentioned him before. I’m sitting in my office cracking up during this bit, and then to hear ‘Patrick’s going nuts’, I thought I was gonna collapse, and my co-worker asked me if I was ok. You guys are the best

When my parents split up one of the many times, I asked my mom where dad was and she told me he works nights. In my little girl mind that meant that he had to work at night but had to sleep at work during the day in case there was an emergency. It took me years to figure out that lie.

It's awesome to see my all-time favorite SNL cast member return in skits on SNL in 2024. It was cool to see him pop up in the Chloe Fineman Ariana Grande Jennifer Coolidge skit. That's probably the only time you'll ever see other people do an impression better than Carvy. It's one of those stupid skits that doesn't make any sense but still makes me laugh.

It's crazy but 7-Eleven stores in Japan are super clean, affordable shops that even have fresh sushi and bento boxes to buy. It took my friend 10 minutes to convince me I wouldn't be barfing up fish in an hour. Went back every day for pretty much everything while I was visiting. I'd sooner lick a toilet than trust sushi if our American 7-Elevens ever sold it.

Kristen Wiig + Bill Hader were (and still are) truly funny people in this SNL millennium. Others are few and far between. Except Jay Pharoah who is Dana 2.0. The best sketches are Bjork meets Modern Girl and the extremely funny Christmas song with Jimmy Fallon on keyboard. Now, that was 'piss in my pants' funny. Joe Dirt and then he was walking through the desert and that uhhh... that human waste capsule from a umm.. a .. uhh... airplane like, fell from the sky and Joe Dirt thought it was from outer space and would, uhh, you know, probably be worth lots of money, even though it was just a tank of shit?? . .
