Alternate title, Ryan Reynolds teaches you how to set up a High-Bypass engine

I just got started in this game and figuring out high bypass engines were the biggest challenge. You were a big help, getting me into the game and with the turbofans. I would suggest a part 4 covering optimization. What does what and what to tweak for each use case.

Thank you, now i can optimize the "little" project im working on >:)

Strange, that overmach sound sounds exactly like what the engines sounded like on the Bombardier i rode on a couple years ago.

Great guide! Could you do a video on low-bypass and tubojet engines (for fighter applications)?

Isn't the power turbine supposed to be used to power the high-bypass fan, rather than directly connecting it to the core? I think that might have been why the N1 was so low in the inital tests.

to my knowledge power turbine is only used on 3 spool turbofans

The super large high bypass can be achieved "more realistically" in the new update. With the ducted fan, you can have 2 engines with a slightly higher alternator or a power turbine and then both engines feed into a single ducted fan. With the alternator+motor, it's a similar concept to Astro Mechanica's turboelectric engine and it allows them to tune the RPM of the fan for the exact flightspeed and altitude they're travelling at.

Now give it 3d vectoring and an afterburner.
