In this video, we get into how to make them in flyout as well as how to optimize the propellers attached to them. Link to calc: www.desmos.com/calculator/2uc...

I came for answers, I left with 40 more questions. 10/10 Great video I'll be looking at more of your stuff here, I'm trying to learn a lot in a short period of time. One thing I would have liked to see is what happens when you go with too low of a gear ratio, I can fiddle with it myself of course, but it would have been cool.

with X'Y'Z keys you can center objects to the other grid when you place them

Your video is a great help. I'm currently trying to get an aircraft that's capable of flying for 2 hours at full power and reaches 30,000ft while doing 400mph with only 1000 hp. I'm currently meeting all specs but speed and hp 😅 I'm doing 1400hp at 360 mph but my props are not getting my there

Very interesting.

for some reason my props and the turbine seem to cancel eachother out. altough flipping it does nothing. the plane picks up speed brilliantly and then it just loses speed and no matter what i do it remains in place if i spawn in air it will literally stop and fall straight down

Has anyone been able to figure out a reverse thrust setup for a turboprop?
@battleshipconsumer17 күн бұрын
uhh yeah. So when you right click on a prop you can see its degrees. For reverse thrust you want the numbers to be in the negatives.

Interesting video. In the real PT6 (On the DHC6) we only reached the takeoff RPM once airspeed was build up a bit. Then it remained governed at full RPM until about 400ft where we increase the pitch angle to achieve a lower constant RPM. Can you adjust the RPM during flight in this program as well?

Hey man. Had the same question as you for weeks with no answer, but I accidentally stumbled upon the answer whilst messing around with attaching starters to my engines! Evidently, the Collective control is how you can changed the Target RPM! Try using the "3" and "4" keys. I think that's the default setting for collective! Good luck my fellow aviator 🫡

Why do you want to see prop adjust it's pitch when stationary? Shouldn't the pitch increase with airspeed? What will happen if stationary prop is running at 25° and then plane takes off, how does it speeds up if it cannot increase the pitch to compensate for airflow?
@elija_wav6 ай бұрын
the propeller pitch changes to achieve optimal thrust at different airspeeds and propeller rpm. Different airspeeds and propeller settings require different propeller pitches to maintain optimal thrust
@ruparker-jones1891Ай бұрын
@@elija_wav In Flyout, with the the Target RPM mode, the prop doesn't care about the thrust it's producing. It will alter pitch to achieve it's target RPM (actually about 95-98% of it's target). If the current rpm is higher than target, pitch will increase, and vice versa.
