@downswingplayer97125 жыл бұрын
@@johngroening4996 I think if it is an Apple phone there is an option but if it is an android phone you can not stop it. The usb port at the bottom of the controller can be connected to the phone and that will stop the charging.

This is my first drone. I’ve wanted one for years and finally bought the Mavic Pro. The included instructions were awful, the worst. I couldn’t even figure out how to charge the unit, let alone fly it and take pictures. Therefore, I went to KZbin to learn. After watching a dozen videos, I still wasn’t getting what I needed. Finally I found FlytPath. The information was exactly what I needed. Very clear instructions with great pictures. I was finally able to get the batteries charged, firmware updated, etc. It took me half the day, but I feel so much more comfortable with my new drone. Can’t wait to get it up in the air. And, I’m looking forward to more instruction from FlytPath.

I just started the setup process and realized I had no idea where to start and the direction booklet is useless. The panic set in and your video was the first one I found. Thanks. You made it easy for me to get started. One point you missed that I picked up before starting is to remove the protective stickers on the position sensors, or the calibration might not work. I'm writing this during firmware upgrade, so I have not experienced it first hand yet, but another video warned against the protective stickers needing to be removed. Thanks again for this instruction. If I feel lost again, I will definitely look to you. Very thoughtful, clear and useful tutorial.

If you were able to even put them on and fly it then you most likely have them on correctly. Look at the propeller and match the prop with the white hole with the motor with the white ring.

Best Intro I've found on KZbin. THANKS! How frequently or when, after the initial calibration, should the IMU and gimbal be calibrated?
@FlytPath7 жыл бұрын
IMU when you first get it, after you do firmware updates, and if for some reason your Spark seems to drift or does not feel stable in the air. Gimbal calibrate the same. First get it, after firmware updates and also if you horizons seem to not level out appropriately.
@007LKD7 жыл бұрын
Thanks. How long should the IMU calibration take? 20+ minutes?
@FlytPath7 жыл бұрын
Its quick. Just follow the on screen instructions. All you do is move the Mavic into the positions they show you.
@007LKD7 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I was mis-interpreting the images on just how to "posture" the drone body. Found an excellent youtube interpretation of the several positions and that did the trick. The long time was the system waiting for me to position the drone in the last "posture".

Excellent video! You popped up in 'recommended' and I'm glad your video did! I've been flying my Yuneec Q500+ for over a year and did a layaway with Carolina Dronz for a Mavic with the extended flight package, it was shipped today and will be here next week. I'm really looking forward to it for all it can do and its portability. The Q500 is great, I bought it specifically for the photo/video capabilities and it has not disappointed one bit. But it is somewhat large, about the same size footprint as the Inspire and in the case, it is not exactly travel-friendly. The Mavic will be! Again, I subscribed and will watch your 2-part set up and first flight videos again before flying!

"Much better than the manufacturer's" -- Agree. The tutorials on the DJI website appear to be made for folks who already know the material that FlyPath covers. But how would they know? If the folks at DJI are smart, they will pay FlyPath some major dollars for a license to use his intellectual property. Doing so would cause sales of the Mavic Pro (and Platinum Pro) to soar even more than they already are.
@drcoolit2 жыл бұрын
you treat this drone as an "aircraft" (which, of course, it IS) and this "pre-flight" you do is very much along the same lines as someone pre-flighting a regular passenger type aircraft. doing this emphasizes how this isn't just a "toy" but a serious machine that when all is said, makes easy taking pics that not that long ago would have been virtually (or actually) IMPOSSIBLE for any regular citizen not having access to cranes, helicopters, etc. like the big movie studios. these are serious (and amazing) machines -- and they need to be seen in that light. very nice video -- very informative and I've watched some other beginner's videos you have (I just ordered a Pro off of eBay but not yet rec'd it yet) and I have no doubt these will help to prevent my inadvertently damaging this machine. it was also interesting (one of your other videos) where you indicated that the highest incidence of crashes occur because people get confused if the drone is facing TOWARD them rather than AWAY from them. both your advice and the statistics were very useful!
